Introduction
Hello, good day, everyone. I trust you have been living your life to the fullest and having a swell time here on Steemit. First, I want to acknowledge @cryptokannon for taking her time to provide all the necessary information needed for the execution of this task in their simplest form. Thank you, ma'am!

Having completed my Achievement 1 and Achievement 2 tasks and same verified, I am encouraged to carry out this Achievement 3 Task* on the topic, "PLAGIARISM"

GENESIS OF PLAGIARISM
Generally, there has always been the desire for Admiration and Imitation amongst humans. More often than not, most people admire others because of their abilities and creativity in performing certain tasks. In the process, the admirers often end up having a great zeal to do exactly what those they admire have done. Hence, the eagerness to imitate them. In other words, they try very hard to be what and who those they have admiration are.
Intellectually, the aforementioned is applicable. Haven't you come across a very beautiful content that you almost found yourself in the writer's shoes? Exactly! When you have an uncontrolled desire to produce same thing even when you know you can't, you will be tempted to reproduce what the writer has creatively put in place. The absence of self control NOT to do the reproduction is what gives birth to PLAGIARISM.

DEFINITION OF PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism has no definite definition. However, for the purpose of this task and from the information I have gathered from the tutorial of mentor @cryptokannon on the subject matter, I will define Plagiarism as the act of reproducing, copying and pasting the exact content of a writer(either in part or in whole) without the consent of the originator (writer) and/or without citation for recognition.

"Plagiarism is the process or practice of using another person's ideas or work and pretending that it is your own."Source

CLASSIFICATION OF PLAGIARISM BY CONTENT TYPE
Plagiarism can be practised in different areas. Ignorantly, when the term plagiarism is mentioned, most people always feel it is just about written content. No, it goes beyond that. Content - wise, plagiarism can be:

1. Audio plagiarism
This is a situation where one uses the audio(sound ; song, jingle etc) of another person without citing the individual or without a permission from the original owner.
2. Visual/Video plagiarism
This is when the pictures (motion or motionless) created (in drawing or photographed form) by someone is used by another without citation or permission from the user.
3. Written plagiarism
This is when a user uses the written materials (including codes and symobls) of a person in a way that would present him/her as the original owner without citation or permission from the primary owner.
NOTE : One can plagiarize himself/herself in certain situation. How? You may ask. It happens when someone uses any of the aforementioned types of contents in a secondary way(project, seminar, presentation, contest etc) without giving full reference of the first instance.

CONSEQUENCES OF PLAGIARISM

FIrst, Plagiarism can send the victim to jail and or result to payment of fine if caught by the original owner of the content used and legal action is taken.
In addition, as rightly stated in the course of this task's tutorial, it can make the victim to lose his/her reputation (sometimes recommendation) before the individual's readers/followers/Fans.

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
Always get the written permission of the originator before you use the work.
In a situation where you cannot contact the original owner, ALWAYS cite the source of your contents.

PLAGIARISM WARNING TO "STEEMIANS"
Resist the urge or temptation to fall into the trap of plagiarism, because that can jeopardize your reputation and also lead to your contents being flagged.

Thank you for taking your time to read my content.

I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them

Hello @bentala, you need to make an example on how to provide the source of an article or writing. You need to make block quotes for this. Edit your post and add one of this so I can verify you 😊 Saturday, May 29th, 2021.
