Engagement Challenge Season 8 (Week 3) || “Silver Lining"
INTRODUCTION
My lovely friends ,we are going to read an interesting stories of silver lining, I am sure you may have experienced it or someone you know. But before my story let me explain what silver lining means.
silver lining means something good that may be found in a bad situation.
Having gotten an idea let me go straight to my stories.
- 1st story.
Monica why did you disobey your parents ?Have we done any thing to offend you? Is it bad to have you as our only child these are the questions that Monica's parents were asking her but Monica has no answer to all this questions. How do you describe a young ,charming ,smart,looking demsel? Monica has all the qualities that you can think about,After her National youth service at Abuja in Nigeria she was automatically employed as a staff in one of the media house. This made her parents so happy as they go around telling people to share in thier joy. Monica was very dedicated to her work that everyone wish she becomes thier main manager because she was so experienced about her work as a presenter in the media house. Monica was appointed to have an interview session with two well known business moguls After her interview she was accused of defending one person and one of the business man she interviewed used her influence to make the company to terminate Monica's Job without any pay. Monica was depressed for loosing her precious and well paid job. But one fateful day the other man they accused her of defending heard what happened and invited Monica to his office to hear from her. Monica narrated the issue to the man and she was given an appointment letter to become the next managing director of his business.
Moral lesson.
Monica's job dismissal gave her the opportunity to become a manger in another place.
Is good to have a good reputation it pays alot ,Monicas reputation helped her to find favour in the eyes of the man that gave her a new job.
2nd story.
road construction
This time in my country is campaign and election time political office holders are busy on projects that can impress people to vote for them. So they remembered or small street that is not necessarily important for now and the gave order for people that have shops on the road to vacate for road construction and we just collected shop rents how do we pay back as they promised to compensate the house owner but not so soon ,the tenants were on our neck for refunds. We have to go extra miles to refund the tenants as we wait on the government to pay us.
- Lesson.
Is good to have multiple incomes. If we hard it wouldn't have been stressful to back tenants money.
- 3rd story.
Teaching
After my NYSC There was no white collar Job . I applied in several companies, government Jobs, still no way. I gave up and said I will not disturb myself again not even to work again in my life. But I tried for the least time and got this teaching work that is giving me time to do other side hustling.
- Lesson.
Dont always give up easily there always a sliver lining.
All this challenge can cause someone to be unstable. As well after our mental reasoning I gave and tried again then I was lucky.
MASSAGE.
In any situation one finds him or herself bear it in mind that tomorrow will always be brighter than today.Be optimistic that there will be a solution one day.
My plans for this year 2023
Past years have I been trying to solve some extented family problems but this year I have decided to make myself the number priority. This year i will have a good time to go on a vacation for relaxation. I am also looking forward to own a good car . This is my plans for this year so shall it be oh Lord. Amen.

A good reputation is an asset one cannot buy with money and in everywhere we find ourselves either in our neighborhood, places of service or even among our friends she should try and build a good reputation. Side hustle is a good thing because no white collar job is scares everywhere.
Keeping a good reputation really pays because if Monica was not good at what she does or if she was not trust worthy she wouldn't have going a good and better job like I remembered when a phone was stolen in my school my uncle searched everyone but before then he asked them to kneel down but I was the only one that he did not ask to kneel down neither did he search my bags because he just trusted him,
I was even surprised because I don't know what made him do that but now I've come to realize that it was because of my behavior back then at school ( basic 6) that made him trust me
