To start, cervical cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in women, affecting about 13,000 women in the United States each year. It's most often diagnosed in women between the ages of 35 and 44, and it's more common in women who have never had children. Cervical cancer often doesn't cause symptoms in its early stages, so it's important to get regular Pap tests to check for abnormal cells.
