Brief Description Of Cervical Cancer:
Cervical cancer could be described as an unusual or abnormal growth that begins right in the cells of the cervix, which links the uterus directly to the vagina. Before cervical cancer would appear, the cells of the cervix might have gone through changes which is known as "dysplasia", whereby abnormal cells starts to show in the cervical tissue. Meanwhile, the main symptom related to cervical cancer is an unusual bleeding that comes out from the vagina.
What Causes Cervical Cancer |

Percentage of about 80% cervical cancers affecting human is being caused by a certain infection with high-risk type known as "human papillomavirus (HPV)".
Thence, HPV could be gotten from; |
---|
• Vaginal, Anal or Oral vaginal.
• Through the genital area, HPV could be contacted by skin-to-skin contact.

With the use of HPV vaccines, infection can be prevented against the two types of HPV which tend to be responsible for cervical cancer of about 70%. Whomsoever that has cervix is at the risk of being diagnosed of cervical cancer. This disease mainly affect women about the age of 45.

The stage and type of cervical cancer you have may necessarily need you to take up more than just one type of treatment.
The early stage of cervical cancer needs surgery. Then, the late stage requires the combination of radiation and chemotherapy which is always the major treatment. Chemotherapy alone is usually used to treat cervical cancer in it's advanced stage.
How Can Cervical Cancer Be Diagnosed |

Assuming there is a suspected cervical cancer, you will have to meet with a doctor to begin a total examination of your cervix. The colposcope which is a magnifying instrument is used in checking for abnormal cells in the body.
To be able to obtain tissues affecting the cervix, the doctor will likely take a sample of the cervical cells for laboratory test. These test are of two main types, which includes;
Endocervical curettage: In this process, a curet or a thin brush is used to scrape a sample of the tissue from the cervix.
Punch biopsy: This process involves the use of a sharp tool in pinching off a little sample of the cervical tissue.
What Are The Important Of Pap Test |
---|
Pap test:
A Pap test which is also known as pap smears shows the abnormality affecting the cells in the cervix, including the cells that detect changes which could level up risk of the cervical cancer. Pap tests may be able to detect some inflammatiory diseases and infection too.
Risk Factor Of Cervical Cancer |
---|
Human papillomavirus (HPV) causes almost all th cervical cancer which is a kniwn virus that could possibly be passed from person to person during sex.
More two things that are capable of increasing risk of cervical cancer include;
• Intake of tobacco smoking.
