👩⚕️ In your country, ¿what type of ancient medicine did they perform?

In Pakistan, traditional medicines or ancient medicines has a long history with practices rooted in ancient knowledge that is passed down from our generation to generation. One of the prominent form of ancient medicine that is still practiced today is Unani Tibb. It is originated from teachings of Greek physicians like Hippocrates and Galen. Moreover it also contains elements from traditional Persian, Indian, and Muslim medicine.

The Unani Tibb practitioners uses approach in which focusing on balancing the four humors blood, yellow bile, black bile, and phelgm to maintain health and treat illness. Natural remedies are used such as herbs, minerals, and dietary changes to treat illness within the body.

Another famous ancient medicine practice here is Ayurveda which has its roots in ancient Indian culture. Ayurveda balances between mind, body, and spirit to promote overall well-being. It includes techniques such as herbal medicine, yoga, medication, and dietary changes to prevent and treat illness. Despite modern technology and modern medicines, still many people in Pakistan are still using such ancient medicines in which my family is also included.

👩⚕️ ¿Can you give your honest opinion according to your beliefs? (your point of view is valuable to us)

As per my belief and experience, Ayurveda medicines can treat us really well. Sometimes modern medicines prescribed by professional doctors don't work but Ayurveda medicines works perfectly. These medicines are made up of different herbals depending on the need to cure illness. I have personally used one at home that my elder brother made. It is for teeth cleaning and it includes black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, and some other items which I don't remember now. But it solved the blood and pain issue within few days.

Another thing that we use at home is mint sauce. Why I am mentioning it because mint is also used in Ayurveda medicines. We use mint sauce to prevent stomach issues and if someone have weak digestion, by eating this sauce everyday with food, most of the digestion problems get solved without modern medicines. So yes I support ancient medicines because they are powerful than modern medicines with almost no side effects.

👩⚕️ ¿Can you describe some elements they used at the time? What was the special use of each one?

In ancient times, people in Pakistan used various natural elements for medicial purposes. One of the common element is herbs such as neem, tumeric, cloves, mint, basil, black pepper, triphala, tulsi etc. These are used for various illness and treatments including digestion, healing, preventing infection spread, and to reduce inflammation. All of these herbs are used to promote overall well-being of a person.

Another important element that was used are minerals such as salt and sulfur. Salt was used in various remedies to help with digestion, relieve muscle cramps, and even as a disinfection for wounds. Sulfur was often applied topically to treat skin conditions like acne and eczema as it is antibacterial and antifungal. These elements were integral part of ancient medicine in Pakistan with each one different health related purpose.

👩⚕️ Design a scenario about ''Ancient medicine''

Let take example of a small village with lush green valleys of northern Pakistan. In this village, generations have passed down ancient medicinal practices that date back centuries. Every evening, the villagers gather around a wise elder who sits beneath banyan tree sharing remedies that he got from his ancestors. They use herbs that I mentioned above harvested from nearby forests to make healing teas and ointments. When someone falls ill in the village, the villagers run to these traditional medicines first.

One day a young girl Ayesha sprains her ankle while playing in the fields. Her grandmother rushes to her side with a poultice that is made from crushed leaves and soothing oils. As poultice works its magic, Ayesha listens to her grandmother stories about healing power of nature. Inspired by her grandmother's knowledge, she decided to become a healer one day to help other villagers. In this way, that remedy is preserved by Ayesha from her grandmother.

Dear friend,
Undoubtedly, the present treatment is better and easier for people than the ancient treatment. Herbs Neem, turmeric, cloves, mint, tulsi, black pepper, triphala, tulsi
These are significant elements. As you mentioned herbal treatment is one of our natural side effect free ingredients. Many people in our country are still dependent on them for treatment. You wrote very well.

That's amazing to hear. Ayurveda truly has a special way of treating different ailments. Sometimes, modern medicines prescribed by doctors do not always work as effectively as Ayurvedic remedies, that's interesting. I think it is the general beliefs over time though, however we can never downplay the power of ancient medication.
