SteemAlive Presents: Our community Update #5 - Here are some things you probably missed.
Introduction
Our update 5 is ready to be published. This covers our work in the last 8 days. The community continues to grow stronger and stronger with many engaging activities and projects. Our aim has always been to recruit, mentor and retain newbies so that they can grow and become active members of the platform and of the community. Take a look at some of the things we have done.
1. Our Community trail has gone from 388 to 467 in 8 days
The last time we did an update which was update 4, our community trail was 388 followers. But now we have moved from that number to 467. That is significant increase and a testatment to the amount of work we are doing as a community that is fully into recruitment and training of newbies. We continue to encourage power ups, which are great in helping us make the numbers count. The trail is currently voting between $3 - $4.5 at 100% voting power.
2. Seeking Partnerships through SmatKontrat
SmatKontrat is our partnership project unvelied few days ago. Throught this project, we hope to work with organizations that have a high number of customers or staff. Our aim to to work with these organizations and get them to allow their staff or customers to join Steemit. In return from giving us access to a potential high number of recruits, we offer some valuable service to them. We are also looking to attract investors through the project. Currently, we are making arrangements to kickstart it from the 1st of October 2021.

3. Steem Road Show
A project started not too long ago, the Steem Road show has been of great value to us. We have created and continue to create a lot of awareness by hitting the streets and talking about Steemit to anyone that would listen. More than 50 volunteers across 5 cities in Nigeria are currently doing this work. We have recruited more than 40 new users so far and good number are active and really doing well. 4. Powered up 1000 Steem - 14k SP attained
Powering up Steem is something we believe so much in. We understand that growing the community SP is a great way to achieve greater curation value. Hence, we will be better able to support the high number of new people that are coming in through our community. So we just powered up 1000 Steem to get to 14k SP. Check it below:

5. Engaging more engagement through the Talking Point
Our next project launched within the week is called Talking Point. The aim of Talking point is to create an avenue where our members can discuss on societal issues and the blockchain. While it is a useful interaction activity,our main aim is to encourage engagement among our community. The first ever talking point was held last Saturday and it was so much fun and engagement

6. City Coordinator Reports for the Week
The City Coordinators continue to do terrific work within our ranks. They are responsible for recruitment, mentorship and supporting newbies and old members in their city to grow and become established. Read some of their latest reports below:

7. Community Contests
Contest are a great way to encourage engagement among our members. Each Monday we announce a new contest. By Tuesday, we make a winners post for the previous contest. This way, we are able to have something that members would spend their time on. Here is our contest for this week.
