As these continues, information and communication technology will provide more effective education for the present/ future generations. We are already enjoying the benefits of digital world, applying it fully to the classroom learning process will definitely help to transform the educational system in various ways which is among the reasons why digital classroom should be adopted. This will happen with the help of different gadgets.

However, there is always advantages and disadvantages to things which means that; there are certain benefits and challenges attached with digital classroom compared to physical classroom method of teaching and learning.

Digital classroom is a method of using technology ( educational software, computers and websites) to improve learning process. In this present era, there is no more limitations to learning, you can acquire knowledge wherever you find yourself and at any given time.

Technology has made this possible by playing significant roles in our educational system. Digital classroom is advanced, adopting this method of teaching/ learning will bring significant benefits, increase accessibility of information, reduce costs that comes with physical classroom like; transportation or printing of material.

Other reasons for adopting digital classroom in our educational system includes; easy way to monitor students' performance, it will expose students and teachers to opportunities of the modern world and also reduce high rate of population in learning centers because with digital learning, you can connect from any location.

List and Explain Three (3) Gadgets (accompany each of them with image) that are Needed for an Effective Digital Classroom in our Educational Sectors

In order to make digital classroom effective, different gadgets are needed. Below are three (3) gadgets necessary for proper communication and interaction during the learning process in class;

• Computer
• Joystick
• Interactive whiteboard

Computer: Online resources like; textbooks and educational apps can easily be accessed through computers including video calls. The learning processes are more effective with computer be it in classroom, at home or any location at all. This is a form of E-learning and it is beneficial.

Joystick: this is a device used to move objects on computer screen in any direction of your choice. Both students and teachers can comfortably use it to control the screen while in class.

Interactive Whiteboard: this is used for digital content; a touchable sensitive display that is being connected to a computer. It makes interaction and learning experience easy for teachers and students. Interactive whiteboard can't be compared to the past blackboard and chalk era.

Discuss the Benefits & Challenges Associated with Digital Classrooms as Compared to Physical Classrooms

There are benefits and challenges associated with digital classroom. In as much as digital learning made life easier for students and teachers, there are also some certain challenges that can hinder learning process.

Let's see the benefits and challenges below;

Benefits

• Accessibility to learn from any location as long as there is good network, good websites for learning and downloading of soft copy textbooks.
• It gives flexibility in scheduling classes
• It gives deeper understanding of what was taught because it allows student explore beyond teachers' explanation
• It helps students get rid of boredom compared to physical classrooms and with digital learning, there is always opportunity for direct interaction
• Information can be passed across easy.

Challenges

• Poor network and other technical problems can slow down learning process
• There is always distraction for students. Example; students learning from home can minimize their screen and focus on social media while learning and also noise from their environment can stand as a challenge.
• Light from the screen can damage the eyes and also cause headache
• This can limit social interactions and make students feel isolated.
• With digital learning, to ensure academic integrity might be difficult sometimes.
