Week#4 Curation Report (June Session)| Finance & Technology | Quality Control Team| @steemcurator05

intro4.png

It happened to be on June 30, 2022, the last report we would complete for the month of June, wishing to renew the covenant with working as the curation team for the fields of finance and technology for a new cycle that begins at the beginning of July. There were some changes in this session, but the work remained in an ascending pattern, which enabled us to receive praise every week from the supervisors on the platform due to the value of the work and the good selection, and this is what actually happened to be the Quality Control team based on upvoting for the fifth time in a row. Thank you all.

Going back to this week, it was like the previous one, full of participations, where we saw an increase in its number to reach 220 posts i.e. an increase of more than 20% compared to last week, of course not all of them were accepted so that we upvoted on 116 articles was raised by 6 % in return for skipped 104 posts, and as this week witnessed the presence of some articles containing plagiarism, their number will be mentioned in the members' comments and recommendations, and as usual, we invite the participants to take advantage of them to overcome the errors that occur.

And we pass, as usual, to present the most important general statistics, which will be detailed by each voter, to conclude the report with the best articles for this week. Good follow up.

The observations of our curators :

@irawandedy 1st-day

In the curation period on 24th June 2022 I checked 27 posts, but 6 posts I left because they are not relevant to the Theme to be curated, 2 posts have been curated 3x over a 7 day period. In general I find a lot of content that uses the #fintech tag, but conflicts with the theme required for curation support, so I ignore it.

There are 19 Upvotes received by users today, if grouped by language usage, 16 content in English, 1 content in Spain and 2 content in Indonesian. Meanwhile, when viewed from club status, users who are members of club5050 get support for 8 posts, 7 content with club75 and for club100 4 posts.

No Club: For curation, I prioritize accounts that are members of the club, and the curation scheme by giving a higher percentage of votes if the club status is at club100 or club75, but the quality of the content remains an important point. I hope my curation method will trigger them to continue to improve their club status over time.

@fredquantum2nd-day

The #fintech tag today was populated with a lot of articles that are not fit for any of the categories we are considering, I have adequately corrected most of these users to use the tag accordingly to benefit from the appropriate curator team, in addition, some have benefited from other teams because they had combined different tags.

There was no record of plagiarized content today while we have many articles with very low quality, some of which barely have 200 words, insufficient information on the subject of discussion, and improper use/sourcing of images. I have left comments for most authors in that category on the need to improve.

That being said, Finance-related articles are the most curated articles today taking up 73% while the rest was for the other category, technology. In addition, the total number of skipped articles today due to the earlier mentioned reasons exceeds the number of curated articles, it takes a higher percentage, 62% of the total articles checked. We hope quality improves subsequently.

@kouba01 3rd-day

For the last week of this June curation session, I upvoted 17 articles, keeping the same pace as last week, however I ignored 14 articles with an increase of more than 250% compared to the week before. , which shows the growth in the number of participants but most of them did not respect the rules of participation.

Most of the articles were published in three languages distributed as follows: 71% in English, 5% in Spanish and 24% in Indonesian. We also noted an imbalance between the two areas (76% for finance and 24% for tech), a gap which has decreased compared to the previous week but we hope to reduce it further, by inviting participants to also focus on the area technological. This week also saw a narrowing of the gap between items owned by club100 users to 41% vs 48% for club5050, but with 11% for club75 only, and we urge users who want a higher vote to increase the club value.

Furthermore, we did not find any article containing plagiarism. We also noticed a few articles that were part of the challenge contest, which were voted on by SC02, so two votes cannot be written at the same time, and more than one tag cannot be combined in the same article.

@moecki 4th-day

During my last mission as steemcurator05 for the time being, I was fortunately able to support 14 of 40 reviewed articles. The proportion is 35%, which is higher than in the previous week. 7 skipped articles were not #steemexclusive. Almost all other skipped posts were of low quality or already voted by other SC teams.
Less pleasing - actually shocking - was that 4 posts turned out to be plagiarised. Unfortunately, the users showed little regret and preferred to point out the online tools. The posts in question are as follows:

https://steemit.com/hive-183397/@olatunde1/chainlink-network
https://steemit.com/hive-195150/@fombae/engineering-and-science-polymers
https://steemit.com/hive-197809/@azeem22/club5050-or-or-the-costs-of-starting-a-business-or-or-regards-by-azeem22-or-or
https://steemit.com/hive-197809/@hassansho/club5050-or-or-differences-between-business-and-profession-or-or-by-hassansho

The mods/admins of the communities "Tron Fan Club" and "Steem Cameroon" very quickly muted the plagiarisms. Only in the "Steem Skillshare" community are the posts still visible.

@ozenozge 5th-day

I checked 33 posts in my vote this week. Of these, 20 of them met the criteria for getting votes from this hashtag. While there was no plagiarism this week, some accounts were found suspicious. Therefore, these accounts were not voted on. These accounts have been listed and their movements will be under surveillance in more detail. Content in technology and finance was closer to homogeneous this week. Posts in the tech space were often geared towards google searches rather than personal experiences. In the field of finance, personal experiences and technical analysis are predominant.

@pelon53 6th-day

On my curation day I found very few posts with the fintech tag, as the day went on, the posts came in.

In total I reviewed 27 posts, but only 19 posts received upvotes. I skipped 8 posts, of which 2 posts had been upvoted during the week 3 times, 1 post used the wrong tag and 5 users did not belong to any club.

Several users were encouraged to join club5050, club75 or club100, and thus may have a chance to get a vote for SC05.

@chiabertrand 7th-day

During my curation this week, I still noticed a decrease in terms of content quality and I curated less number of articles published under #Fintech. However, I had to still skipped 15 articles because of several reasons which I will be explaining below

Some of the articles were content not related to #Fintech, Other articles had already received support from another curator. Please stop using #Fintech and #Learnwithsteem in one article. Either use #Fintech or #learnwithsteem but never use both because they belong to different themes and this might cause confusion between curators

I skipped other articles because the authors had already received support from SC05 account 3X in the past 7-days

I skipped one article because the user wasn't using copyright free images

As usual, I continued rewarding all the Mods/Admins that had reviewed articles in their respective Communities.

I came across two plagiarized contents

https://steemit.com/hive-197809/@zubair60/club5050-what-is-it-service-management-itsm-by-zubair60

https://steemit.com/hive-197809/@aliraza880/club-or-or-global-computer-network-or-or-by-zubair60

Users should try as much as possible to refrain and abstain from plagiarism because this promotes laziness and the steemit blockchain rewards users base on PoB mechanism.

For the curation period on Friday, June 24, 2022, I gave curation for 19 posts, but among the 19 posts, in general they have their own uniqueness, but I chose one of them as the Top Post. This post describes the Cameroon Traditional Clothing Business Review, she reviews her store Anabela Awa's Design in the city of Bamenda. The article selected for the top spot today has taken Arbitrum, a layer 2 scaling solution on the Ethereum blockchain as the subject. The author explained how scalability has been a major issue with the Ethereum blockchain which takes a longer time to process a transaction and at a high gas fee.

The writer has highlighted this scaling solution on the Ethereum network as it enables faster transactions and at low fees. He also added a step-by-step guide on how to add Arbitrum to the Metamask wallet and how to import Arbitrum tokens into the wallet.

In addition, the author has briefly highlighted the benefits of Arbitrum, most importantly its low transaction fee and its compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). The article could have been top-notch if the author demonstrates with real transactions to show the audience the low fee feature associated with Arbitrum, nevertheless, this is the best article we have come about today as such it's selected for the top spot.

During my curation this week, I came across this user's article in which she gave a detailed review of a local business located at her city at "Ituk Mbang market".It was a Cosmetic shop and she made a good review of most of the goodies found inside the shop with all their prices in her local currency as well as in STEEM. She also had to purchase some goodies in the cosmetic shop and recommended the place for people to visit if they have the opportunity.
