In this report, I will present the curations that I have done with @steemcurator03 last week (4/4/2021 - 11/4/2021 ) and other tasks and update on Steem Greeters Team project.

Curation on my team members of steem greeters team for their work and contributions to the project.

I didn't get to cover all my team members last week as I seen that Steemit Team also been generously upvote their post or report, so I put the other greeters in the next batch.
Another reason also that we have lot of posts to cover and we try not to drain out the voting mana of steemcurator03 to below 70%.

Update on Steem Greeters Team

Discussion with my team members in regard to method on curation

I have discussed with my team member in our team discord server on how we going to minimize the numbers of post that have past their curation windows, and I discovered that some never been visited even after a month or so on their achievement task. So I think we need to change our method and I'm waiting for my other team member to confirm that they understand this new method that I'm suggesting:

With this new method, Greeters team will verify and checking newcomers achievement program tasks by the newcomers daily and they will cover the newcomers that coming from the country as in the roster below

With our old method, they will also upvote the post with steemcurator03, but for this new method, they will not, as they will be giving the task a Rating points instead according to their judgment on how much % VP the particular achievements' task will receive.

The curators of the particular day according to this roster will then upvote this verified and rated achievements' task with steemcurator03.
With old method, curators will only upvote the post that coming from their country that they have been assigned to, but with this new method, they will upvote any achievements' task post that is from oldest to new order that already been verified and rated regardless if the post is coming from the country that they have been assigned to or not, so then we can do a catch up vote on posts that already pass it curation window and hopefully can catch post that is still under 6 days old so they won't expired too.

3 Point Rating scale

We will have 3 Point Rating scale and Achievement 1 task would have different metric than the Achievement 2-6 tasks.

Achievement 1 rating scale metrics

For Achievement 1 we have allocated maximum 25% VP from @steemcurator03 which is around 10$ upvote worth for each post at this time of writing.
Mentors may give a rating to each Introduction post on Achievement 1 as follow based on if the post have met all the criteria for passing the achievement with high or low rating:
Rate 1 is 8%VP of steemcurator03
Rate 2 is 16% VP of steemcurator03
Rate 3 is 25% VP of steemcurator03

Achievement 2 to Achievement 6 rating scale metrics

Then for Achievement 2 to Achievement 6 we have allocated maximum of 10% VP which is around 4$ upvote worth for each post at this time of writing.
Mentors may give a rating to each Introduction post on Achievement 2-6 as follow based on if the post have met all the criteria for passing the achievement with high or low rating:
Rate 1 is 3%VP of steemcurator03
Rate 2 is 6% VP of steemcurator03
Rate 3 is 10% VP of steemcurator03

We will adjust this rating metrics/percentage of VP in accordance to the average price of Steem every 2 weeks if needed. This is because we will not use the same metric if price of steem is 5$ for over 2 weeks for instance.

Increase delegation to @steemcurator03 for more post coverage per day

We hope that The Steemit Team may consider to increase the delegation to steemcurator03 so greeters team curators may cover more post per day.
We will still use the metrics as we stated in this method that we have set which is max $10 upvote worth for Achievement 1 and maximum 4$ upvote worth for Achievement 2 to Achievement 6. We will be adjusting the VP% accordingly if Steem price have significant increase in price for over 2 weeks.

Other progress in the Steem Greeters Team

@neerajkr03 have the tools of SUT ready for us greeters to use. SUT - Steemit New User Tracking - New Features Released | Login, Add, Edit and Delete Newcomers
The team still familiarize themselves with this tool.
We will still use the old method of filling in their data in the google sheet after verify and giving the rate to Achievement 1 task and later will update on SUT site too for Newcomers Status Active/Inactive biweekly report that will be presented by @belenguerra.

Steemit Nursery community

The purpose of this community creation is to support the newcomers up to 2 months of their life in Steemit. Those who have the badge/title of Alumni should not post their contents in this community regularly and should have found the community of their interest by now. They may join the contest that is organize by Steemit Nursery or publish any contents that they think helpful for newcomers in this community.

We have discuss that newcomers in this community will be given their labels according to 3 phases:

Newborn
Age on Steemit 0-6 weeks.
You'll see a number here, which corresponds to the month you entered Steemit. For example, Newborn/04 title means you have registered your Steem account in April, Newborn/05 for May, and so on.

Toddler
Age on Steemit 6 weeks - 2 months.
You'll see a number here as well, which corresponds to the month you entered Steemit. For example, Toddler/04.

Alumni
Over 2 months on Steemit.
We expect that the user with this label have found the community of their interest by now and they only commenting on the post of newcomers in this community either to support or guiding them.

Currently @belenguerra is doing the labelling and updating and its a gigantic work for her to do it alone, and we have request a help from greeters helper, those who are active helping us greeters welcoming and guiding the newcomers at the Newcomers Community to assist her with this task. Percentage rewards on report post will set to these helpers and we will also be given them upvote with steemcurator03.

Closing

Lot of newcomers coming in daily and sometimes over 70 plus per day. Hopefully we will get to cover their task with more help in numbers of curator or appointed a Country Representative from Philippines if possible and also increase the delegation to steemcurator03 so we get to cover more users per day.

Thank you for the support given to this team, I'm happy to see that other community members being helpful in guiding the newcomers at the Newcomers' Community and big thank you to our biggest supporter The Steemit Team always with us since the beginning and keep on motivating us to do better either by their advices/suggestions and also sweet rewards from them for our work in this project.
