This week the Trompowsky Attack was our topic. I had occupied myself with it for a few days, but I couldn't get past the first few moves. When White's second move is replied to, there are many black moves that point in a completely different direction. A few motifs, such as Kiki, the knight eviction move f3 or the exchange of the black knight on f6 by the bishop are quite common. I also noticed that in my skill level nobody answers with a knight to f6 when I play d4. So I put this opening back on file and devote myself to more important things. @jaki01 was able to clearly win with his favorite opening from his youth in the chess club but no player has to leave the field without points!

Next week: Kings Gambit: 1.e4 e5 2.f4

Wow! Looks interesting. I am an amateur.....how does one join the group and play ?

The new reminder post is online! See at my blog.

To be honest, I didn't know about the existence of such a chess opening at all

I gave a link to the training board in the reminder post so that everyone could be familiar with it. For me it was also new territory.
