My Way To Relieve Stress

How to relieve stress?
Stress and stress are not the same so my answer won't be either. It all depends on what causes my stress, where I am and if I am alone or with someone else.

Stress doesn't feel good

I prefer to be alone to avoid spreading negative energy (to people, animals and even the trees). If I am in my room I can lie down and think or sleep. Sleeping over can be helpful although sleepless nights or thinking while I am sleeping is a possibility as well.

My first reaction might be eating chocolate although I do not always have it at home. At the moment my pantry is empty except for 1 Mars with an Israeli label.
What if no chocolate is at hand and I am home alone and feel stressed? I make myself a cup of tea, sit down and look outside of the window. Doing nothing is good for the brain. It triggers creativity (and solutions).

If the situation is really bad I talk to one of my children. The one who is the nearest by. This might be my son or the youngest and if no one is home I text which will be most often the animator. Her humour and responses, no matter how black, relieve. At times I contact my friends but I admit they are not my first choice if it comes to talking to someone and getting rid of stress.

On average my days are without too much stress and most stress I feel is caused by other people, at times the animals. As an introvert and thinker, I prefer to keep my life as simple as possible. I like to be on my own and for the biggest part of the year I am living in the middle of nowhere. No neighbours, no visitors and I do not visit anyone. My last visit was with a friend in May and it was one year ago we met (her wedding day), the last time I visited a shop was at the start of May.

I rarely watch a film or read a book if I feel stressed. It's hard to concentrate if I feel that way. Burning incense is most likely what calms me most of all.

Some types of stress can be reduced by preparing, which I do if it comes to celebrations and travelling. I recommend everyone to do the same since travels are rarely without stress and many get a burnout or migraine once their weekend or vacation starts.

Focus on something else helps.
A puzzle but writing a freewrite with a timer and a prompt like 'science fiction' (which I am not good at) is most likely my number 1 if it comes to distracting myself.

So in short incense (I always go for good smells), a cup of herb tea and being left alone (no one nagging me and letting me do as I like) is the relaxation recipe for me.

Jajaja odias las citas ? Seguramente porque te causan un poco de stress.

Todos sufrimos de stress de distintas formas cada día y lo que funciona para algunos puede no funcionar para otros.

Eso de comer chocolates es algo que siempre pensamos que nos calma el stress pero en realidad nos hace más imperativos, pero lo importante es hacer algo en ese momento que nos haga sentir que estamos drenando ese stress que nos agobia .

These are the most realistic things anyone can do to eliminate stress. Walking and sleeping are my personal favourites.

I too can't focus on books during stress but a good comic is an exception obviously.

Talking to friends or people helps if you are mostly alone and opposite is a cure too if you are exhausted from social gatherings.

How do you socialize and interact, is there an activity that makes you comfortable?

Good question. Before I did with my shelter. My job is mainly solo so good for me.
I have children, friends, same lile me what more is there to socialize? I don't feel the need to hang around in pubs. I never did because of the smolers and drinkers. I believe I meet enough people if I shop once a month, when I travel and with friends I talk online.

Reading makes me comfortable, writing does, crocheting, sculptering, painting and being with me.. Having enough time to think and live in my own pace.

It's better we avoid stress because stress, if not we'll managed can cost us so much. I love that you don't stress yourself except for others stressing you, I'll say since people cause you stress, maybe you just try to avoid them.

Moreover, I love the fact that you reduce stress in such a lovely way. I mean eating chocolates or taking tea, maybe I'll also try that because I've always been so stressed with teaching at work and taking care of the kids at home.

Oh dear you should pamper yourself even if it's just a break of 15 minutes. You know as I still drove up and down to work for 100 kilometers it was a great time to relieve stress and leave work behind.

The best thing is to do nothing. So after work just sit, drink your tea and tell the children if the alarm goes off you have time for them. Make a family moment out of it. Relieving stress together but not in the same room.

People give me stress and trouble so the best for me is to stay away and go my own way.🙂

Hola wakeupkitty.pal cuando redacte mi articulo no me acorde del chocolate jajaja si es una buena opción para mi, pero últimamente he ajado su consumo. También me pasa con los horarios, tener que ser puntual y llegar a determinada hora es un desafío para mi. Tengo rato sintiéndome bien desde que no tengo compromisos que me agobien con tantas exigencias. Con el incienso tengo una relación odio-amor que dependiendo como me sienta lo uso sino lo rechazo porque me hace daño en mis afecciones respiratorias. Un gusto leerte, Éxitos

El chocolate debería estar en el botiquín de emergencia. Hasta el ejército lo hace. Siempre lo llevo conmigo durante un largo viaje en coche de 1 día o más. Mantiene alto el ánimo (de mis hijos).
Tampoco me gustan todos los intensos, nunca compro las barritas negras y sólo ciertos olores.

La vida es más fácil sin citas, ¿verdad? Mantengámosla así en la medida de lo posible.

Hola wakeupkitty.pal, siiii coincido contigo con lo del chocolate lo amo, el chocolate de leche es mi especial, el negro no me gusta mucho y siempre tengo, pero últimamente me altera, así que he evitado su consumo. No me gusta con frutas, ni con avellanas, ni con maní, ni ningún adicional, me gusta es solo, me gusta comerlo así solo y eso es la gloria jajaja chocolate lovers, gracias por responder
