Merry Christmas Eve ๐๐..... NW Cascade Wanderings
Merry Christmas Eve! ๐๐โ๏ธ๐
Thanks ๐ for stopping by today! ๐ง๐ฅถโ๏ธโ๏ธ๐๐๐
Well! Iโm not sure exactly where to begin, but around 7:30 last night our power went. So, we have no water as we have a well and we unfortunately discovered we didnโt have much gas for the generator so we could charge our solar batteries as the sun โ๏ธ has not been playing nice lately!
We called our oldest son and asked if heโd be willing to try to get gas and head our way today. He agreed and as he and his wife slowly made their way toward our house, @silvertop began a arduous hike towards Everson to meet them. It was impossible to ascend the hill along the South Pass road, as many who tried today found themselves stranded and in multi car accidents! ๐ We figured itโd be safer lower and since we hike a lot, 2.5 miles is not far! The ice however made it difficult.
Our son and his wife made it and the gas was in @silvertopโs possession. See @silvertopโs post for the interesting โrideโ he got home! ๐ณ
Needless to say, I stayed home and kept the fire ๐ฅ going and the house warm! ๐ our trip down south to our youngest son and his wife, will be postponed until early January. There is an unbelievable amount of ice on the roads! It went up to 48 degrees Fahrenheit which seems impossible given that two days ago, our low was around 8 degrees Fahrenheit!๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฅถ Thatโs a 40 degree swing! ๐คช๐คช๐คช
Anyway, the day is winding down now. Itโs Christmas Eve and time to focus on the meaning of Christmas.
From our house to yours, a very Merry Christmas to you! Blessings to everyone! Much love to all! ๐คโค๏ธ๐
