Greetings lovers of macrophotography and nature. We continue with our learning about the art and technique of macro photography. On this occasion we will begin to touch on the types of shots in photography and their application to macro capture.

To achieve a good photographic shot, it is necessary to take into account several elements that interact with each other, three of these elements are the framing, the angle of the shot and the photographic plane.
Macro photography focuses on capturing close-ups of small objects, however, it is possible to apply some characteristics of general photography shots to your macro photos. Here are some of those applications.

Para lograr una buena toma fotográfica, es preciso tener en cuenta varios elementos que interactúan entre sí, tres de estos elementos son el encuadre, el ángulo de la toma y el plano fotográfico.
La macrofotografía se centra en la captura de primeros planos de objetos pequeños, sin embargo, es posible aplicar algunas características de los planos fotográficos en general para tus fotos macro. Acá algunas de esas aplicaciones.

It is generally the type of shot used in macro photography because it is the simplest and most direct, allowing you to capture precise details of the subject. You can use them to photograph coins, close-ups of insects, or the structure of a leaf. When you join this shot to the different photographic planes, very interesting results are obtained.
Generalmente es el tipo de toma que se utiliza en macrofotografía por ser la más sencilla y directa, permite capturar detalles precisos del sujeto. Puedes usarlas para fotografiar monedas, primeros planos de insectos o la estructura de una hoja. Cuando unes esta toma a los diferentes planos fotográficos se obtienen resultados muy interesantes.

The photographic plane refers to the proportion (how much of the entire subject) appears in the shot. (Or in the chosen frame). In this sense we will use different QUANTITY of the subject in our photo.
El plano fotográfico se refiere a la proporción (cuanto de la totalidad del sujeto) aparece en la toma. (O en el encuadre elegido). En este sentido emplearemos diferentes CANTIDAD del sujeto en nuestra foto.

In the general shot, the subject of your macro photo is shown in its entirety, but as part of the set of elements. It is possible to detail it and draw attention to it but it is not the focal center of your shot. Here it is important that there are no parts outside the frame (framing).
En el plano general el sujeto de tu foto macro, se muestra en su totalidad, pero formando parte del conjunto de elementos. Es posible detallarlo y dirigir la atención hacia él pero no es el centro focal de tu toma. Acá es importante que no queden partes fuera del cuadro (encuadre)

Here your subject in its entirety is the center and focal point of your photograph.
Acá tu sujeto en su totalidad es el centro y punto focal de tu fotografía.

Here you have a closer look at the macro subject, but you leave some parts of it out of the frame (Frame). We do this with the purpose of focusing attention on certain parts of the macro subject, turning them into focal points. But it must be done with caution as you cut your subject.
Acá tienes un mayor acercamiento al sujeto macro, pero dejas algunas partes de él fuera del cuadro (Encuadre). Esto lo hacemos con el propósito de centrar la atención en partes determinadas del sujeto macro, convirtiéndolas en puntos focales. Pero debe hacerse con precaución pues cortas a tu sujeto.

When applying this type of shot to a macro photo, the purpose is to highlight as “the subject of the shot” a part of the photographed subject, for example, capturing an insect feeding, where it is especially interesting to show its mouth and the food.
Al aplicar este tipo de plano a una foto macro el propósito es destacar como “sujeto de la toma” una parte del sujeto fotografiado, por ejemplo, capturar un insecto alimentándose, donde interesa mostrar especialmente su boca y el alimento.
5. DETAIL Plan | Plano de DETALLE

This type of shot is proposed as the limit between general and portrait photography and macro photography. Here a very enlarged detail of the subject becomes the focus of the shot.
Este tipo de plano se plantea como el límite entre la fotografía general y de retrato y la macrofotografía. Acá se convierte en foco de atención de la toma un detalle muy agrandado del sujeto.

To achieve a good photographic shot, it is important to consider the framing, the angle of the shot and the photographic plane. In macro photography, the front shot is mainly used to capture precise details of the subject. Other types of photographic shots include the general shot, the medium and three-quarter shots, the close-up, and the detail shot.
Para lograr una buena toma fotográfica, es importante considerar el encuadre, el ángulo de la toma y el plano fotográfico. En la macrofotografía, se utiliza principalmente la toma frontal para capturar detalles precisos del sujeto. Otros tipos de planos fotográficos incluyen el plano general, los planos medio y tres cuartos, el primer plano y el plano de detalle.
