Have you ever found yourself counting your eggs before? If yes, how do you feel when it didn't go as counted?

Practically speaking, every human being existing on planet Earth has an expectation, and desire for something to happen or go in a certain way. The moment a person stops having expectations that's the moment the person is seized from being human

My answer to the question "if I have ever found myself counting my eggs before" is yes, I have done that over and over again even if sometimes the outcome is different.

How do you feel when it didn't go as counted?

I feel disappointed and sometimes feel like giving up on the whole thing but over time I have come to know that disappointment is part of life and letting it make me quit is a wrong decision, so I keep counting my eggs despite the result knowing that one day it'll probably turn out as expected.

How do you handle the idea of counting your eggs before they hatch on Steemit? Do you set realistic expectations or take risks?

Talking about setting realistic expectations on steemit or taking risks, for me is a whole lot to answer since am still getting to know the platform better. - But still, I have set up some realistic expectations one of which is to gain awareness, get to be known on the platform then grow my SP.

How does counting your eggs apply to life outside of Steemit? Have you learned any lessons about being cautious or optimistic?

After getting involved in platforms that are Ponzi schemes and losing capital invested in the platform, I have learned to be more cautious about the platform am investing my time in or capital because anything lost can't be gotten back.

Should you focus more on the effort you put in or the potential rewards on Steemit or any platform?

I rather focus more on the effort I put in than the potential rewards on steemit or any platform because I have a plan of what I want to accomplish and just waiting or putting my hope on potential rewards that may or may not be given.

How do you balance ambition and counting your eggs? Any strategies for managing expectations while pursuing goals?

This is what I was getting wrong at first not knowing that there's a difference between ambition and counting the eggs. It's a very delicate balancing act to manage expectations while pursuing goals. But the only strategies to balance this is by applying or setting some smart goals such as: Measurable, Attainable, Time-bound, Specific goals and celebrating little wins, focusing more on the process rather than the outcome. My mentor taught me something very important, he said: "As a newbie yet growing in your niche (area of expertise) you should focus more on seeking knowledge, building traffic, and engagement than money". Doing this can save you from depression and unwanted failures.

In conclusion, let's learn to define whatever we're expecting from what we're doing (actions) so we'll not be disappointed or feel regrets after we've invested our time or money in it.

Thank you for sharing your entry for the "Counting my Eggs" contest. Your reflections on setting expectations and handling disappointment resonate with many experiences we encounter in life, both on and off Steemit. It's crucial to strike a balance between ambition and realistic expectations, focusing on the process rather than solely on the outcome. Your mentor's advice about prioritizing knowledge and engagement over monetary rewards is valuable for newcomers and seasoned users alike. Keep up the great work, and best of luck in achieving your goals on Steemit and beyond.

Counting your eggs is indeed not a good idea. It's an expression that means putting too much focus on the outcome or expecting something to happen without taking necessary actions. It's important to stay realistic, take steps towards your goals, and be patient. Keep working hard and stay positive, my friend! Success will come in its own time.
