What is giving gifts?

A gift is something given to another person voluntarily without charge. A gift can be an object, it can also be an act, right or power given to another person.

Gift giving is a way of showing love, thoughtfulness and affection tob one another.
Gift giving helps in communicating our feelings and appreciation to one another showing them we care.

Should it be just for one season in a year? explain

Gift giving shoukd not be for only a season. Gift giving should be given base on the individual's needs and capabilities. What do I mean here?
I mean if i see someone in need of a particular thing and I am capable of helping that person out by providing him or her with her needs by means of giving, I should do it not shifting it to a particular season of the year. What if the person dies before it get to that season of the year where some sees it fit to give? So gift giving is not just for a season of the year.

Name other opportunities in which one can exchange gifts.

There are many opportunities where we can exchange gifts. The following are some of the opportunities:

1. Wedding gifts: These are gift given during weddings ceremony. These gift are usually given to the couple by friends, family members, colleagues at work, neighbours and so on.

1. Wedding anniversary: These is another occasions where people appreciate couples with gifts, wishing them for more years of blissful marriage.

1. Birth of a child: These are another occasion where people gives the newborn baby gifts as well as the mother.

2. Graduation gift: This is a time when friends, family members and acquaintances gives the graduands gift appreciating him or her for a successful completion of school.

There are other occasions where gifts can be given like appreciating someone for a job well done, seeing people in need and render to help out, and when we return from a trip we usually buy gifts for those at home.

What are the suitable items that can be exchanged as gifts?

The suitable items for exchange of gift depends on the individual's needs and what the giver can afford.
If a child is born, we know the type of gifr that should be given, something like baby wears, diapers, and monetary gifts for the mother to use and buy what the baby needs.

During wedding ceremony, gifts like kitchen utensils, household items and monetary gifts can be given.

The object to be given depends on the occasions and the individual's needs.
A wristwatch can be given to a colleague in the office. It's a way of showing you care. So nothing is too small.

What should be the right motive for giving gifts?

The motive for giving gifts should be to show love and to show the receiver thay we care about them. The motive could also be to show appreciation. If someone does some that deserves to be appreciated and when we appreciate such an individual with gift, him or her will be encouraged to do more.
Gift giving should comes from the heart, it should not be because we want others to see or we give because we are expecting something in return.

Who is qualified to give gifts?

Very interesting question. In my own opinion, I think everyone is qualified to give gift.
A gift does not necessarily mean it must be something very big. Anything can be given as a gift, as long as it comes from the heart and that is what we can afford. This also reminds me that, if I am given a gift, I shouldn't say it too small, I should appreciate whatever I am given and try to give too.
Gift giving is not mainly for the rich, everyone is entitled to give amd receive gifts.

Conclusion

" A giver never lacks" says a popular adage. So when we give, we will likely work hard knowing that we have people to give to and by so doing we end up earning more or being given by others. It is not always good to expect gifts in return of what we gave out.
For me, I like to give because giving makes me happy.
