THE DIARY GAME : 21/08/2020 : Homecoming Without Me😢.

After posting my yesterday’s #thediarygame post, I was awakened until the morning. We five, design project members worked on our design project as deadline is on 24th of August. It was too much tired to work continuously for days even without having a proper sleep.

As I mentioned in the 19th of August diary, we had a family wedding of one of our cousin sister. Their homecoming ceremony happened today at Kottawa. I could not go as I had so much works. So only my parents and brother went there. My sister also could not participate as she also in the university.

I dressed my mother, and two aunts. It took around 1 and half hour. We took some photos before they left. They left around 7am and joined others at my mother’s sister’s home. From there, all of them went to Kottawa.

I had my breakfast after they left and went to bed after having a wash. I was wakened up as my sister who came back from the university, tapped the front door.

We had lunch together and shared some gossips. We had many as she is back after a week. I started work again continued for another 3-4 hours.

I saw this fellow near my room. It is called Mugatiya in Sinhala. In English it is called Mongoose. It is kind of animal that considered a threatened animal. They are native to Sri Lanka and India.

There is a story in our childhood about the cobra and the mongoose. We use “like cobra and mongoose” phrase when there are two parties who hate each other. This is because, the story says that they are enemies and they have fights each other. This fights only end by murdering one animal. As I have heard, these animals are immune to snake venom to some extent. If mongoose wins, then that land is considered as a lucky land.

As we felt hungry, we made a packet of kottu mee noodles packet while sharing the remaining gossips.
It was around 7:30pm when my parents came back home. I worked till then. Then I helped them with removing their hair dresses and came back to room.

From then I worked so hard on design project and wrote this while having dinner.
