Community Building with steemingcurators Community
Hello, my beloved steemingcurators community members! It's been a while since I really visited this community which I myself started back then but kind of abandon it because my focus was entirely on The Steem Greeters Team Project. Now that the members of the team have increased and I have delegated some works for all members to shoulder, I finally have a little bit extra time for this steemingcurators community. @ciska actually been complaining that I have putting much of my time on newcomers that I have totally abandoned by accident not intentionally this community. Now she is sulking away somewhere and I didn't hear from them for almost a month now 🙄.
So here I am back kicking off this community again. Sorry if I will crash the party you all been enjoying here without us. I will be dropping some kind of bombing news to all of us for the long run but maybe not so great news for those of you who been enjoying the way this community in abandoned mode from us admins.
The great news is that I am back 😆! Not so great news is that the membership criteria for this community might not be great for some of you.
I will go into the boring details below so you all be clear about what I'm expecting from the community members from now onwards.
Let us start with :
Steemingcurators Vision and Mission
Vision
To become a strong self-sufficient community that strives to bring value to the community on Steemit and Steem Blockchain as a whole.
For now, The Steemit Team is supporting the community members post with short term stimulus upvote. They will not be giving this out for eternity, so we as a community have to start building and "saving" the community account steem power @steemingcurators so we still get to survive even after no more economy upvote stimulus from The Steemit Team.
Mission
- To become one of the strongest and vibrant communities on Steemit.
- To help everyone on Steemit who want to build their steem power and also join hands in building @steemingcurators community account to become self sufficient community with the mission on having the SP of 500K SP and beyond.
Community Guidelines
For now, we only accept content that is for participating in the community challenges or contests that running on Steemit. For example The Diary Game challenges and also A Better Life with Steem, the 7 themes that The Steemit team has announced on their blogpost 1000 DAYS OF STEEM : A Better Life with Steem - new Content and Curation Project and all the ongoing contest/challenges that organized by The Steemit Team and Steem Community.
No cross-chain farmer, No Plagiarism.
Please abide by the concept of Proof of Brain as explained here
Give your feedback/advice in a constructive manner if any.
Make yourself useful to the community and the world as a whole.
Engagement is the key to the thriving community, please comment on at least 3 other members post in the community before posting your own post link in the community discord link for curation.

Community Membership
We want to build the community account @steemingcurators so that it becomes self-sufficient and for this to happen it would need all the members to join hand building up its steem power through delegation or following the curation trail of @steemingcurators on https://auto.steemdb.online/
The Membership will be categorized based on their delegation to the community account @steemingcurators account and also by the Level of their Steem Power following @steemingcurators curation trail.
Delegators to the community appreciated and will be given vote preferences for their content in the community.
We will do our best in building this community so we will get to be considered into The Communities Support Program, proposed by The Steemit Team as explained in this post 1000 DAYS OF STEEM : The Communities Support Program
Delegators also will be given a monthly payout of 10% APR of their total delegation. Please notify us on the steemingcurators's community post comment section or reach out to me on steemingcurators discord.
This is the membership level structure that we will implement in the community:

Gold Minnow 1 - 500SP - 1000SP
Gold Minnow 2 - 1000SP - 2000SP

Gold Minnow 5 - 4000SP - 4999SP
Gold Dolphin 1- 5K SP - 10K SP
Gold Dolphin 2- 10K SP - 20K SP
Gold Dolphin 3- 20K SP - 30K SP
Gold Dolphin 4 - 30K SP - 40K SP
Gold Dolphin 5- 40K SP - 50K SP
Gold Orca 1- 50-100K
Gold Orca 2 100k - 300 K
Gold Orca 3 - 300K- 500 K
Gold Whale 500K and beyond
Membership title based on SP on Curation trail
Curation will be done manually by the community curators.
Based on their SP following the curation trail
LEVEL 1: LESS THAN 500 SP / Receive votes based on the tasks
LEVEL 2: More than 500 SP - Less than 750 SP = 5% vote from trail/day
LEVEL 3: More than 750 SP - Less than 1000SP = 7% vote from "
LEVEL 4: More than 1000 SP - Less than 1500SP = 9% vote "
LEVEL 5: More than 1500 SP - Less than 2000SP = 12% vote "
LEVEL 6: More than 2000 SP - Less than 3000SP = 16% vote "
LEVEL 7: More than 3000 SP - Less than 4000SP = 21% vote "
LEVEL 8: More than 4000 SP - Less than 5000SP = 30% vote "
LEVEL 9: More than 5000 SP - Less than 10K SP = 40% vote "
LEVEL 10: More than 10K SP - Less than 15K SP = 50% vote "
LEVEL 11: More than 15K SP - Less than 20K SP = 60% vote "

- Signup at https://auto.steemdb.online/ and provide posting authority.
- Follow our curation trail @steemingcurators with 100% Scale Voting Weight.
- Set your Upvote Mana Limit to 70%.
- Notify us on steemingcurators discord https://discord.gg/yBrv9R6 with your Steem account & active SP.
Steemingcurators Community Administration.
Moderators
Our Moderators will maintain the community from:
- Spammer
- Non Proof of Brain contents
- Muting post from non-members
Community Curators
Community curators will curate the member's content and the voting percentage on their content is according to their delegation contribution and also Level on the curation trail.
They will also pick the best 5 posts to be featured on steemingcurators daily digest.
Ongoing revision
This is what I am able to come up with the community structures and guidelines for now.
We will announce in the community any changes that will be made in the future.
We will start to "clean" the community effective after this post is posted, the only member with "title" or "badge" is allowed to post in this community. Those without any titles of the above will be muted their post by our community moderators after being warned for the first time.

While we understand the rationale behind this, the current policy of instant (and retro) muting is causing a lot of ill-will and bad feeling amongst the community.
We strongly suggest you unmute the muted posts and introduce this change more gradually with a process of politely warn first, mute later.

Friend of mine shared with me link to your publication. And I'm not sure if you value my feedback or not. I understand your reasons and thought process, however I believe that measures introduced are to drastic. And will only result with you losing many valuable members and many people being upset that their post is being muted (I consider it myself to be worse than receiving downvote).
I only figured that perhaps my 2 cents will make you think twice about your solution.
ps. out of curiousity -> how do you support your community members? Your expectations are quite drastic, so I presume that you're capable of giving those who participate something in return (that's how we all humans work, in community mutual benefit is crutial). Do you manage some account with solid SP, which you can use to support those who follow those strict rules?

Hi @crypto.piotr thank you for your concern and of course as part of Steemit Community, I appreciate any constructive feedback if that will bring improvement to the community as a whole.
I think we admins have "abandoned" this community, without any rules for more than 4 months already.. and the users who been posting in steemingcurators community have received quite good support from The Steemit Team curation. I believe if they regularly post on this community, they have received quite good earning already and can afford to delegate to the community curation account, or at least join the curation trail for valid membership, note that we don't put any amount of SP to join there.
I agree with you that we been a little bit drastic because we have muted their post so that they pay attention to the community's new guidelines and membership. That's only our intentions.. otherwise, they are welcome to the community as long as they adhere to the community new membership, vision, and mission.
I actually never posted in any community so I don't know the feeling of being muted in any community, I didn't know it will be such a big deal/worst than being downvote as you stated.
The Steemit Team have announced on their blogpost about community support program, they will support any genuine community who wants to build their community SP to become self sufficient. I'm relying on that for now and the constant curation support they give to the users that posted in this community.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. I do not consider "muting" as something to trastic.
I simply think that introducing new "rules" or ideas need to take time. Executing new rules within the same second when those rules are being implemented - that causes confusion, build feeling of uncertainty and many more negative emotions, which do not help to achieve planned goal.
Also it's important to realize that content discovery is really bad on Steemit. And you won't be able to reach most of your members with this post. That's reality. So warning members and giving them time to learn about upcoming changes -> that perhaps could make things more smooth for you and others.
The problem is that your post is then not only muted within community, but is pretty much INVISIBLE on entire chain. Noone will see it on their feed. Content discovery is going all the way to zero.

@crypto.piotr yea I agree on bad content discovery too, but this post as you see being pinned on the trending page of this community. The chance of it being not discovered is low if they come into this community and post their content into this community.
Then I think by muting the post of the users on this community will speed up the reach out. I see it works, just that has some negative effect. But I think they would understand that we just trying to get their attention and reaching out to them as fast as possible. We will unmute their post once they do what needs to be done.

@cryptokannon I have only 4 days that I decided to write here in Steemit again, after months of absence I have tried to catch up with the new rules. You can understand that there are still many things to keep in mind to update me.
I think your measure has been severe.
They have silenced posts that are for contests.
This makes me consider that I should leave this community since they are very radical to take action with their own members.
Anyway, thank you very much, this has happened serves as an experience for me to be more careful to decide which community I should join.

Hi @cryptokannon I know that for many Venezuelan users this is frowned upon, I totally agree with these changes because they allow us to grow and have more control over what we can and cannot do here at Steemit. I totally agree that all the publications are 100% Steem Power, this way we can grow quickly without squeezing the platform as many of us did in previous occasions.
