Our small village is equal to the mother,
He saved lives with light and air.
Fill the field with rice, its water-filled tank,
The moon's rays flickered.

In the poems of Bande Ali Mia, the heart-wrenching look of the villages of this country seems to have come alive. Village means a green, quiet, shady, picturesque town. Horizon crop field, taitumbura canal-bill eye-catching water lily! The village means the noise of birds, the call of crickets and the dreamy flight of fireflies.

Every village in Dhaka Bangladesh is enchanting with its unique natural beauty. The immense beauty of the villages is at the same time eye-catching and varied. With each change of seasons they change into new forms, new features. Although the beauty of the village is now under threat due to continuous urbanization, the various traditions, looks and beauty of the village are no longer visible. Yet how much do we enjoy what survives? In order to enjoy the monolova beauty of the village, the village poet Jasimuddin anxiously called for the poem 'Nimantran'.

You go, brother, go with us to our small village,
The dense black forest-maya is tied to the bay of the forest with affection.

Trying to blend in with the beauty of the village

According to the government, the number of villages in Bangladesh is about seventy thousand. The largest village is Baniachang in Habiganj of Sylhet and the smallest village is Tilin. Tilain village is located in Belghar union of Lalmai upazila of Comilla. The smallest village has a population of only 36 people. On the other hand, 120,000 people live in Baniachang, the largest village consisting of 120 neighborhoods and 4 unions. It is said that not only Bangladesh, but also the world's largest villages and small villages Baniachang and Tilin!

Being a riverine country, the river has close ties with most of the villages in Bangladesh. The river is associated with the livelihood of most of the villagers. More than two hundred rivers including Padma, Meghna, Jamuna, Surma, Karatoya, Brahmaputra have flowed through most of the rural areas. In addition to rivers, there are thousands of canals, beels, haors and baors. Water bodies that can be seen in every village. These reservoirs are the main source of beauty and diversity of the villages.Just as the names of the villages in Bangladesh are beautiful, so are the names of most of the beautiful haors, baors and beels. Such as Hakaluki Haor, Chalon Beel, Bill Dakatia, Tamabil, Tanguar Haor etc.

In most of the villages, the life of the village is only in tune with the behavior of nature. Village life has a close relationship with the sun, rain, storm, monsoon everything. With the change of seasons, the color, appearance and beauty of the village changes.

That is why in autumn you can see a wonderful combination of white clouds, cashew flowers, bright blue sky. White cashew flowers on the banks of the river, Hasnahena on the trees or Shiuli, Kamini, Belly, Bile-Jhile shuffler ceremonies cover each village in a wonderful beauty.

Autumn rain is sometimes called with a message of joy. In the midst of the whiteness around, the rain makes the heart and mind cheerful. At the end of the rain, the rainbow draws the colors in the middle of the mind. The soft sunny mornings, the colorful sunsets, the moon in the clear night sky or the millions of stars make the beauty of autumn unearthly. Fascinated by the look of autumn, Nazrul writes,

What kind of sign is the soft sky today in autumn?
Nilima bahiya saugat niya namiche megher tarani!

In autumn the village changes again in a different atmosphere. The pure nature and the golden horizon wanders around in the rays of the sun on the ripe paddy in the wide field of the horizon. Although the horizon was lost in the evolution of time, the beauty of autumn in the desert on the way to the village has not diminished even today. Kamini, Aparajita, Gandharaja, Mallika and other flowers bloom in this season of leaf fall. Along with the Nabanna festival, fishing festivals can be seen in the knee-deep water of pitha payes and rivers, canals and beels. The golden appearance of ripe paddy in the field creates a heart-wrenching atmosphere.

In winter, the villages are covered with a foggy moon by removing the autumn garments. When the golden morning sun peeks through the fog and peeps into the villages, you see a different kind of beauty. Yellow mustard flowers all over the field, huge and varied variety of vegetables enhance the beauty of winter many times over. In the language of the village poet,

When I wake up today, I see dew-falling grass
The dream of the whole night smiles in my sweet sun. '

However, the biggest change in the appearance of the village comes in the rainy season. The villages seem to be floating in the water all around. He is a wonderful sight. Nature comes back to life in the lurking of drizzle and clouds. It is a sight to behold. Who can avoid the beauty of nature in the rain and flood?

The evening sun

But the villages are most beautiful in spring. With the arrival of new leaves on the trees, nature is rejuvenated. The swelling became colorful all around. Most of the flowers including Palash, Mahua, Shimul, Konakchampa, Krunchchura, Dolanchampa, Belly are in bloom at this time. Spring in the bushes of the village brings the swing of life.

However, not only the seasons, but also the region is different from the beauty of the village. In the villages of the northern region, such as Rangpur and Dinajpur, you will find rows of drinking waste, litchi orchards and crop fields on the horizon. Again, the view of the villages in the hilly areas of Sylhet and Chittagong is completely different. The hilly terrain and forests have kept the villages of these areas completely separate from the features of ordinary villages.

However, greenery is a common feature of every village in Bangladesh. The villages like the picture are drawn by the creator with the sweetness of his mind. In all the villages, thousands of nature flowers including Chalta, Belly, Nayantara, Kalmi, Kamini, Aparajita, Kathalchampa, Dolanchampa, Shimul, Jhumko Jaba, Shapla, Jarul, Ghasful are adorned in the bushes and bushes of the villages.Nearly thousands of species of birds including Shalik, Moyna, Tia, Dahuk, Maasranga, Buck, Boo Kotha Kao, Titir, Chakhachakhi, Kaththokara, Mohanchura, Maasranga, Papia, Finge, Parrot are flying in the open sky. The close proximity of innumerable species of trees and herbs including mango, blackberry, jackfruit, litchi, blackberry, watermelon, coconut, betel palm has perfected the charm of the village.Sitting in the shade of a bamboo bush or a bot in any village of the country, an attachment with the chirping of birds is enough to make your heart eager to live for a thousand years.
