Australia is dominating the Test Field

After the series win against West Indies, Australia is up against 3-match Test series against South Africa.

  • The first Test was a disaster, which was held just 2 days. The conditions at Gabba stadium was highly questioned with this result. Batting first South Africa only scored 152 runs in 48 overs. Australia scored 218 runs in 50 overs with 92 runs from Travis Head. In the second inning, SA could only score 99 runs giving 33 runs easy target. Eventhough Aussies lost 4 wickets in chasing that.

  • In the second Test SA once again could only score 189 runs. Cameron Green took wickets. As a reply for that Aussies scored a mammoth total of 575-8. Warner scored a double century. SA needed a miracle to level the series in the second innings. But got out for just 204 runs. Aussies won the match by an inning and 182 runs. A series to forget for them.

Test Match between Pakistan vs New Zealand

  • NZ is touring Pakistan for 2 Tests and 3 ODI s. Batting first Pakistan score 438 runs with centuries from Babar and Agha Salman. And now in the fourth day, NZ is 519-6 for the first inning. Most probably, the will be a draw. Sarfaraz missed an easy stumping chance of Kane, which cost them lot. He is still batting with 137 runs.

IPL Auction

In the last week, IPL auction was held which was very interesting. Most of the overseas players dominated it with new records.

  • Joe Root, Litton Das, Topley, Phil Salt, Will Jacks, Sikandar Raza got the maiden chance in IPL.

  • Sam Curran was taken for Rs 18.50 crore by Punjab Kings. It's the highest amount in the IPL history. Cameron Green, by Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.50 crore, Ben Stokes for Rs 16.25 crore by CSK which are second and third highest buys in IPL history. Harry Brook also sold for 13.25 crores. So, Englishmen basically packed up their bags in this year auction. So, let's see the results.

So, that's it for this week. Did I miss something? Just give a comment!

Until the next time! Enjoy!

Thank you.
Best Regards!
