Weekly CRICKET Review - Vi | Who will be selected for the Semis?

Who will be selected for the Semis? Well that's the million-dollar question.

So, how are you, friends? Who would have thought this season of the world cup will be this much entertaining and unpredictable? It's just 6 games are left in the SUPER 12, out of 42, and yet non of the teams have selected to the Semis finals. And almost for all the teams it's open.

So, let's wrap up the highlights of the last week. You can read my earlier article here, Quick review - V.

• SKY is the Limit

suryakumar Yadav of India became the new no.01 t20 batsman with 863 points. This man is the modern AB for sure. Shots all around the ground, elegant batting, just a treat to eyes. No pressure at all, he can be aggressive from the very first ball of his inning. Do you believe that, he played IPL from 2012 and performed really well. But go the chance in national team in 2021, at his 30s. But yet climbed the ladder in no time.

• Dewald Brevis, the 19 year old South African boy, known as baby AB, proved once again the reason for calling him as that. He scored a 35 ball hundred against Knights in the ongoing CSA T20 challenge, ended up scoring 162 runs off just 57 balls.

• SUPER 12 matches - Group A

It's group of death including Australia, Newzealand, England, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Afganistan. 3 matches in the group were completely washed away without a ball being bowled. So, with that, the group became more interesting. There are 3 matches (Sri Lanka vs England, New Zealand vs Ireland and Australia vs Afganistan) remaining and they will decide the fate.

• Due to the poor fielding performance from Sri Lanka. they had to loose against New Zealand, making it hard to qualify. Pethum Nissanka put down a sitter of Glenn Phillips when he was 12. He ended up scoring 104 runs taking the opportunity.

• 2 out 4 matches of Afganistan were washed away. As they do not get so many chances with top 8 teams, it was a huge loss for them.

• SUPER 12 matches - Group B

India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, and Scotland are in the group.

• After the loss against India, Pakistan had to face a major blow again. Zimbabwe made their history with a 1-run win showing great performances. After being banned in the last year by ICC, without sponsorships, this has been a crazy journey for them. Huge respect for this team!

• I said earlier that Babar, and Rizwan as the major triumph card for Pakistan, But both of them couldn't perform so far, being the main reason for their defeat as well.

• South Africa showed some great performance here, in all three departments. Against Bangladesh, they score a mammoth 205 runs with a ton of Rilee Rossouw.

And they defeated India as well, with a low-scoring thriller. With the fast bowling attack they are having(Parnell, Rabada, Ngidi, Nortje), they can have faith in this tournament.

• And Kohli is back in his form with 3 half tons already, becoming the highest run-getter of the tournament and t20 world cups as well.
