Weekly CRICKET Review - V | Will weather be a headache?
How are you my cricket buddies? Okay! The World cup has arrived finally and already SUPER 12 matches have began. It's already super exciting and entertaining.
So, let's wrap up the highlights of the last week. You can read my earlier article from here, Quick review - IV.
- West Indies are out of the tournament
Well two time t20 world cup winners has to go home early after loosing against Ireland and Zimbabwe in the qualifiers. Eventhough they are giants in t20 cricket in leagues all around the world, now they have to rethink again about their standards and conditions.

- Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Ireland and Zimbabwe are through to the SUPER 12
After the defeat against Namibia, Sri Lanka come back strongly and through to the Super 12 as table toppers in Group A. Unexpectedly UAE defeated Namibia, and Netherlands got the opportunity. Ireland could go through for the first time. Zimbabwe who suspended from ICC last year, showed huge character. Big respect for them.

It's group of death, you can say. Australia, Newzealand, England, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Afganistan are consisted. Only 2 teams can be selected to the semis. So, you can see the competition it can be. And already we have witnessed where it's going. It's no use to go through match in details, so let's see the points table and the summary!

Super 12 stage was started from a boom from Newzealnd against defending champions, Australia. They scored 200 round for 3 wickets (Devon Conway - 93 runs), and won by 9 runs.
A great battle between Sri Lanka and Australia. But in the last 10 overs Marcus Stoinis just destroyed Sri Lanka bowlers. He scored 59* runs in just 18 balls, fastest in t20 for Aussies. Wanindu gave away more than 50 runs for the first time.
Ireland defeated England for the first time in their t20 world cup history.

India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Scotland are in the group.

Once again South Africa were unlucky as the rain crossed at the last moment just before their win.
As I predicted earlier the rain has become crucial factor now. Already one match was washed away without a ball, and two were disrupted. So, let's see what will happen in the rest of the tournament!
