RE: A few questions
You and I already know that only curators can force authors to check their texts and improve the quality of publications. Therefore, it all boils down to the question of what the curators are voting for. This, of course, does not apply to those authors who do not care what their readers read. There are few such authors and they came here not so much for rewards as for an audience.
The development of local curatorial accounts also has a positive impact. Here I can give an example of a small Ukrainian community. Most authors write their diaries here and share their experiences with a small group of regular readers. None of them try to translate it and publish automatic translations. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the community has a relatively powerful curator account, which is able to reward authors with a sum of just over $1.
Curators and audiences who simply ignore the crap on offer...
Come on, let's keep fighting for it! You (sc team) and I (own stake) are sitting at the source and can keep moving the rudder a tiny little bit in the right direction. That alone will not change the course. But if many join our example, there is still a small chance...
Yes, right. Exactly how it works there was the intention from the beginning. It was: "We will strengthen your community accounts so that you will eventually be able to "look after" yourselves. But instead of pushing this further, the focus was on opening up the communities through SEC. The communities were flooded by "outsiders" who didn't even keep half an eye on the actual community posts. This is the opposite of strengthening a community. This is breeding greedy egocentrics who don't care about community members. And so many play along with this destructive game...
This is one reason. The other reason is that you have enough members who are satisfied with this kind of attention.
It is similar "with us" in DU. The community is so small that it has never been enough for great growth of the community account. But that doesn't matter. We are so small that I can oversee this role privately. And I can count on my members: Everyone supports everyone else (as long as they like the article). For most, that's enough; only a few hop from community to community for publications. I'm only talking about publications now, because extending your feed to other users and communities for reading should be a matter of course if you're genuinely interested.
Yes, I try to act like that. It is also important that we resteem good posts. For example, I like the authors @weisser-rabe finds.
The intention is clear and correct. Maybe in some cases it will still work, but there will always be parasites around the resources of the Steemit team.
This is a must! The naughtiness of the SEC (resteem as a condition of participation) is terrible! It distorts everything. Do you know @realrobinhood? Here @steemchiller (yes, that's his account - you're welcome to vote for him to thank the Chiller for the use of his SteemWorld...) has programmed a calculation for "really popular" articles. In addition to votes, comments and resteems are also included. Well, on the assumption that only good articles are resteemed... In the meantime, it is also the SEC calls. But I am proud that my fairy tale was number 1 in today's edition of his charts (without a call...).
Wherever there is something to get, there will be parasites. Experience lets us recognise them quickly. Experience. Not habit...
Yes, I read steemchiller's post in which he wrote that he does Power Down to create a new project. Then came @realrobinhood. Sometimes my posts make it to this list, but I've never been on top :)
I often forget to resteem posts that are interesting to me. I am trying to fight this :)
It will be an uphill fight if we don't manage to fight the "resteem obligation" of the SEC calls.... ;-)

Get rid of the guaranteed votes for challenges. Away with these project-related rewards. Towards real curating and voting according to taste and quality - diversity automatically results from the different standards of the curators...
Speaking of gorillas. Where is he? Why has his tool stopped working for some time...?

stef1 has already reported him, I hope he fixes his tool soon. Without it, my curation day was terrible.
I agree with that too.
Good to know...
Ah, I’m at Legoland today and had lots going on (broken boiler, leaking roof, broken sinks, etc.) if bad luck comes in 3’s and I’m up to 7, then I’m hoping it stops at 3 lots of 3 rather than 3 to the power of 3!
@adeljose told me that the tool I created for him stopped working too - which has something to do with dates. Knowing what and fixing the problem are sadly not the same!
Oh, Legoland is cool. Stay there and wait until the problems are solved ;-))
That’s what I think - the code’s fine, it’ll work itself out 😆
Good morning! A few days ago, your club page was actually back on track... But now... Suspended website? An expired certificate? A provider that has vanished into thin air...?
Ah, I did fix it but there are occasional problems with some usernames. Which account were you trying to view or is it all of them? 😢
Generally:
Oh, how annoying. They’ve suspended my account for some reason. I’ve contacted them and asked them to resolve it.
Thanks for letting me know.
