Architectural Photography - Week 51 - Where the birds don't sing.
If there are places in our world where it is impossible to hear birds singing, it is the subway.
In principle if someone is transporting a bird in a cage there is a chance to hear some chirping but most likely due to the tramp of thousands of feet on the slabs and the noise of the subway rolling stock this sound will be heard as the squeak of a mouse somewhere in a draft and you will not be able to recognize what kind of bird made these sounds.
But as for the architecture that surrounds us underground then it is already impossible to say anything against it the architects tried their best but no matter how beautiful the architectural elements of the subway are I do not remember them.
Sometimes I stand and look at some huge bas-relief it is beautiful but a minute later I no longer remember what I was looking at because in my thoughts there is only one thing - to get to the surface and hear the birds singing.
