Architectural Photography - Week 44 - There was a time!

There was a time when nothing stopped people from achieving their goals including complex architectural solutions related to the complexity of the landscape.

You can see one of such cases in the photo.

A lonely door someone's apartment in the old days and a store today and a bridge leads to it over a real abyss of difference in heights in the ground level.

Today such a task would either be completely unrealistic or it would be so costly from the material side of this issue that most likely this idea would be abandoned.

But there was a time when people did what they conceived and it as a rule looked great.
