INTRODUCTION

Greetings everyone, how are you all doing today, i trust you're doing just fine and enjoying your day.
You're welcome to my post which was a contest organized by @steemdoctor1 in the Steem4Bloggers(@hive-109435) community, and the theme of the contest is Three days without Electricity.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU FACE THE PROBLEM OF ELECTRIC POWER SHOT DOWN IN YOUR AREA?

Actually my country Nigeria is not like other outside countries that has uninterrupted power supply. It is onyof the countries that has a little issue when it comes to electricity.

The reason I'm saying that is though in Nigeria we normally have electric power, sometimes it might last a day, two or three, but it as never lasted straight one week before especially in this side of the country that i am living.

To be honest, i face electric power shot down in my area everyday, but that doesn't mean that there is no electric power in my side, there is but it doesn't last a full day. Sometimes i always wonder they won't just allow the electric power to be ON always, afterall it's not as if they are using fuel to run the transformers.

WHAT ACTIVITIES WOULD YOU DO IF THERE IS ELECTRIC FAILURE IN YOUR COUNTRY FOR 3 DAYS?

If there was an electric failure in my country for 3 days, i wouldn't sit down hoping, wishing or waiting for the electric power to come up again. There are several activities i might consider doing that time to make the most of the situation.

Those activities are;

1. ENGAGE IN OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Since there is no light and we won't have have access to electronic devices, it would be a nice opportunity to engage in outdoor activities like football, bike rides, taking a walk in the woods etc.

2. SPENDING TIME WITH MY FAMILY: I would use this opportunity to connect with my loved ones by spending time together, playing games together, and we will take that walk in the woods together or we can even have a picnic together.

3. WORK ON MY SKILLS: I would use the lack of electricity as an opportunity to work on my skills, giving myself a huge challenge by drawing a lot of things i think it will be difficult for me to draw, by doing this i will be learning and mastering how to draw.

WHAT ARE THE MAJOR PROBLEMS OR ISSUES THAT YOU WILL FACE IN 3 DAYS ELECTRIC FAILURE?

Electricity is very important in our daily lives, and if it happens that i face a three days electric failure, the major problems or issythat i would be facing is;

1. FOOD PRESERVATION AND COOKING: It will affect yhe refrigeration and freezing of food and perishable food items, cause without electricity there are possibility of it getting spoil.
   And it will also affectme in cooking and baking because i won't be able to make use of the electric stove and microwave.

2. DISRUPTION OF COMMUNICATION: Electricity is important for communication, and during power failure we might experience lack of network or internet connection or ability to charge our mobile phones
