you reap what you sow
Growing rice requires proper environment and process; very similar to our life. While you can't control all related factors, there are always things you can manage to get through. In harvesting, it can be unknown bugs, plague, etc., and in our life, it could be our bad day, unlucky, etc. as well. It might not be fruitful in our first try but after tries your farm will be beautiful and productive. So, yes please be encouraged to try harder, we will reap what we sow. :-)
