Como muchos han de saber el próximo domingo se celebrará en Venezuela el "Día Internacional del Niño". Por esa razón he escogido a una pintora que tenía una especial sensibilidad por los pequeños de la casa. Se trata de: Elizabeth Adela Forbes.

Esta destacada pintora nació el 29 de diciembre de 1859, en Kinyston, Ontario. Era de nacionalidad canadiense.

Siendo de familia económicamente acomodada recibió su formación artística en Inglaterra. Además cursó estudios en la Universidad Real de Arte Liga de estudiantes de arte de Nueva York.

En 1889 contrajo nupcias con el pintor Stanhope Forbes, con quien tuvo un hijo.

Los niños solían ser los protagonistas de sus obras.

Falleció el 16 de marzo de 1912, en Inglaterra, a los 52 años.

As many of you may know, next Sunday will be held in Venezuela. For this reason I have chosen a painter who had a special sensitivity for the little ones in the house. It's about: Elizabeth Adela Forbes.

This noted painter was born on December 29, 1859, in Kinyston, Ontario. He was a Canadian national.

Being from a wealthy family, he received his artistic training in England. He also studied at the Royal University of Art Art Students League of New York.

In 1889 she married the painter Stanhope Forbes, with whom she had a son.

Children used to be the protagonists of his works.

He died on March 16, 1912, in England, at the age of 52.
