Solar panels on street lights in My Town Lhokseumawe, Aceh.

Hello STEEMIANs

"The use of solar panels on street lights in Lhokseumawe city, Aceh

One of the environmentally friendly technologies is solar panel technology. However, its use in my country is still not very familiar. Even many people are still unfamiliar with solar panel installation.

This happens due to the high cost of solar panel installation equipment and lack of understanding about the use of solar panel systems as a renewable source of electricity that is actually more efficient and environmentally friendly because it does not emit harmful emissions to the environment.

When considering the climatic conditions in my country, Indonesia, where the sun shines throughout the dry season, my country has the potential to use solar panel installation systems.

Currently, I only see the use of solar panel systems managed by the government, namely on street lights. For my city area of Lhokseumawe Aceh, the use of solar panels that I found is still limited, not yet used on all roads. The use of solar panels is only found on certain roads, such as on national roads across provinces and on the main roads of the city centre.

As a science teacher at a junior high school, I tried to introduce solar panel systems to my students as one of the environmentally friendly energy sources. although my knowledge of solar panel installation is also very minimal and limited. But at least theoretically and factually I can introduce my students to solar panel systems and their benefits.

The use of solar panels on street lights is often referred to as "PJU solar cell ". The PJU sollar cell works by using solar panels consisting of photovoltaic cells that are able to convert solar energy into electrical energy. Solar panels will absorb energy from sunlight, then the energy will be converted into DC electric current. Furthermore, the DC electric current is stored in a battery connected to the PJU solar cell.

When night falls or when the weather is dark and cloudy, PJU Solar Cell that has received a supply of sunlight energy during the day or on sunny days before, which has stored electrical energy in the battery, will automatically turn on the LED lights installed in it. As long as the LED lights are on, the lights will get electricity supply from the battery connected to the PJU solar cell. This is how PJU solar cell works so that it can provide lighting on street lights for needs at night or when cloudy arrives.

I hope the government will socialise more and educate the public about solar panel technology systems. So that solar energy sources can be utilised maximally and people are not unfamiliar with solar panel installation systems.

All the photos that I share are my own personal collection of photos that I took using my Samsung A-31 smartphone.

Dear,
I appreciate your solar knowledge. You are a science teacher so you are teaching solar knowledge to your students about solar. Teaching a very up-to-date education. I appreciate your knowledge and taking action to protect the environment. I know you have a lot of knowledge on the Steemit platform. Your reputation is very good. I have a small suggestion for you as a community moderator. Our community rules are to post to the solar community with your own photos of solar installations. Your writing about solar is very nice. But solar activity with pictures would be complete. I also did not get much detailed knowledge about solar. I am also trying to install solar posts with more updated images. I hope you post the installation with your own pictures in future posts. Or to post that you are working on solar.

Please forgive me if there are any mistakes in my writing. I am very happy with your writing. I have a few suggestions as a moderator. Good luck to you.

Note: you wait and our admin sir will give you better advice.

Thank you for your warm welcome and your kind advice about my writing. I understand and I still have a lot to learn here. I am just interested and want to share my writing. But if my writing does not fit the description and rules of this community then I apologise.

I really appreciate your kind comments and I wish you success.

Have a great week

Hi @sailawana,

Thank you for sharing your city street solar

although my knowledge of solar panel installation is also very minimal and limited. But at least theoretically and factually I can introduce my students to solar panel systems and their benefits.

Here is for solar instructors/those who owned solar to write reports, not a general community for everyone.

Check the instructions on the intro, we are very strict and won't welcome some random writings.

Ok..thanks for reminder..
