Reading List

Yes, I am not one of those who participate in competitions on time😆. But better late than never. Besides:

you can earn fame, honour, recognition and Steem ;-))

When you enter contests late, you can claim only the first three listed awards, which makes the job of the contest organizer much easier🙂 . Okay, let's get to the point.

I love to read since childhood. When I had summer vacations, and the children went to the villages to visit their grandmothers, sometimes there was no one to walk or play football with. This was never a problem for me, I could sit all day reading a book.

When I signed up to Steemit, the first thing I did was read other people's posts. Unfortunately, not understanding the features of the platform, I believed that those posts that received the most rewards and are on the trending page are the best and the community values them the most. That's how I realized that what people liked the most were photos of flower pots without a test, self-improvement text posts that consisted entirely of plagiarism, and posts that consisted of 10 valuable characters so valuable that you could see a three-digit dollar amount under the post. It also affected the content I started publishing, but that's a good thing because I got caught by @the-gorilla and that's where my real exploration of the platform began.

Since then, I still read many posts every day. You will rarely notice it because I don't comment that much. Steemit captivated me and I want to be everywhere. I write, read, curate in a team of curators and try to do something useful as a Representative. Therefore, there is often no time left for comments.

Of course, over time I have developed a circle of favorite authors. It's too big to describe in full here, besides I'm bound to forget someone, so don't be offended 😁. I categorize the authors according to the categories that I associate their posts with in my head. It has nothing to do with common sense, it's just how my brain sorts authors.

Reflections

Definitely worth mentioning @jaynie here. Her posts are well designed and you can see that she puts a lot of time and effort into creating a visually appealing look. But her posts are valuable not only for this. In her stories, she often shares her personal experience and her own vision of this or that thing. What is more, she does it not haphazardly, but in great detail. You can always disagree with the given opinion, but it is the opinion of the author, not yours, so it may be different.

I love @denmarkguy's musings as well as his consistent writing style. Sometimes he touches on topics that affect everyone in one way or another. And I like that he does not put material things at the center of his worldview.

It's impossible not to mention @soulfuldreamer here. No matter what she writes about, even if it's porcelain, her posts are always full of reflections. She never takes things for granted. She is always interested in why things are like this and not otherwise. Can something be changed? What would happen if…

I would probably put @soulsdetour in this category. This is also a great author who is not lazy to thoroughly explain his thoughts. She runs her own blog without posting to any of the communities. I think this is how she protects her content from external influences.

literature

Sometimes it's interesting to get away from the real world and dive into a fictional world. Especially on days like today, if you have seen the news about Ukraine. Then I read with particular pleasure, so to speak, literary posts. Here it is worth mentioning the author, who is completely unknown to the organizer of this contest - @weisser-rabe. Her posts are easy to read and always give you something to think about.

Can't miss @wakeupkitty.pal. Her work will definitely appeal to many readers. Personally, I especially like when she resorts to the fantasy genre.

Lifestyle

You can name two hundred authors in this category, but I won't work that hard 😁.

I love @chriddi's posts, there's a lot of love for animals, and the daily life of farming is close to my heart. It's a pity that she rarely pleases us with updates.

An author whose posts are always interesting is @the-gorila. I have no idea how he finds topics. However, now he is busy with programming and I probably won't see his posts about life soon.

Despite the fact that recently @event-horizon writes about travel, I still associate it with the topic of lifestyle. Her posts are very cool, always thorough, with a unique author's style.

Of course, it would be unfair if I didn't mention one of the titans of this platform, namely @patjewell. I love reading her posts and judging by the number of comments, I'm far from alone.

I wanted to mention another Ukrainian author @yetaras. I also try not to miss his diary entries.

Travels

I love travel posts. Such content allows you to get to know the world more widely, to learn something new. In this category, I try not to miss the posts of @charter and @benoitblanc.

Journalism

Here I will mention a person with a big heart @ubongudofot. Of course, his content is much more diverse than just journalism, but this categorization is conditional. His interviews are invaluable, and the project, which is designed to change the entire African content, is simply amazing.

Science

@remlaps is an author who often raises interesting topics in the field of science and blockchain. He is one of those authors whose posts I never miss.

It is worth noting that some interesting actors are no longer active, such as @enveng and @serap. It's a pity.

This is far from a complete list of interesting authors and I keep thinking that I forgot to mention a few, but I think it is enough for one post. I hope it will be useful for someone 🙂.

Thank you for this reading list. To be honest, I know all the authors (apart from @yetaras - which will be made up for immediately) as good authors that I also read regularly. I became aware of some of them not least through your WoX magazine - nice!

So thank you for the honourable mention.

It's a pity that she rarely pleases us with updates.

Well, it's not like I can't write or can't write quickly... Sometimes I think (with little self-confidence?) that if my world is (almost) all about sheep at the moment, it doesn't have to be that way for my readers and I don't want to bore anyone. But there's something else (and I admire you for that):

Since then, I still read many posts every day. You will rarely notice it because I don't comment that much.

We are very similar in that respect. And I'll never understand how you can read so much, continue to provide (albeit few) high-quality comments and still produce a lot yourself that's worth reading. So the latter alongside reading and curating, but above all alongside work, real-life social contacts, family affairs, other hobbies and - something I and most of us are fortunately spared - an emotionally, economically tense situation due to a terrible war right on the doorstep. I take my hat off to you for getting all this under one hat! I can't manage it. Maybe it's a matter of age... 😂

To be honest, I know all the authors

I had no doubts about it 😆.

all about sheep at the moment, it doesn't have to be that way for my readers

Well, this is our life. If it has to do with sheep, we want to know about it 😀. In fact, each author has the right to decide for himself how, what and how often to publish.

And I'll never understand how you can read so much, continue to provide (albeit few) high-quality comments and still produce a lot yourself that's worth reading.

I will tell you a secret. First, for some reason Steemit got me hooked. I enjoy reading and writing here, and when you like something you do it more often. The company I work for is practically bankrupt. Most of the time I work remotely, but there are very few tasks. I'm sitting at the computer with mail open, but there are no tasks. This is a great opportunity to spend time on Steemit. Soon time will be less, because spring field work will begin.

I can't manage it.

You know, the situation is very dynamic. I think once upon a time my parents did not need to solve so many tasks and adapt to changing conditions so quickly. Now it's useless for me to plan anything in advance, so I solve problems as they arise 😁.

It would be dishonest if I said that material reward is not important to me. It was like that before the war. But now Steemit is helping me. I have a problem with changing jobs because I can't just leave hazardous chemical facilities unattended. That's why I stay at my old job, even though I don't get paid. Steemit and some side jobs help me supplement the family budget.

Because of this, I ran into a problem that most authors here run into. Sometimes, when I have free time, I think that I could write "something" on Steemit instead of wasting my time. I chase such thoughts away, because if I start writing "something", it won't be me anymore.

Maybe it's a matter of age... 😂

Do you mean that you are too young? Don't worry, you will gain experience soon 😉

If it has to do with sheep, we want to know about it

Unfortunately I can't keep up with the updates... Another lamb was born today that needs a little more care. When should I write...?! 😉

each author has the right to decide for himself

Of course.
Basically, we should write for ourselves anyway, publish when we are satisfied with the article, just being happy to have an audience. Of course, it's easy to annoy the latter away... 😎

I will tell you a secret

That's not really a secret. Do you remember that I actually read most of your texts (and then of course the comments underneath...)? So: everything is fine. Especially the habit of not just writing anything because you have time or nothing else to do.... 😉

Don't worry, you will gain experience soon

Thank you for this wise advice, Mr Charmer... 🤗

Another lamb was born today that needs a little more care.

Allow me to congratulate you once again. I can't help it, the birth of a new living being causes wonderful emotions in my soul. Although of course it also means more work 😉.

Do you plan to keep all these sheep or will you sell them?

And another one…

I cannot keep them all, the pasture does not have that much food. And exactly that („What will happen to the lambs?“) is why I didn’t want to have unplanned lambs. If it was an „accident“ one ore two pregnant ladies would have been okay (next year we wanted lambs… they are lovely, next year I would have had a plan…) but now it seems that they all are pregnant and just waited for the full moon.

7 so far!
Hmm...

8... 😉

it doesn't have to be that way for my readers and I don't want to bore anyone

Not a chance 😉

The only mention I get these days is when somebody shares one of my old tutorial posts. I don't blame anyone but my activity graph. 😛

This wasn't the case here, so I was convinced, I have to make a similar post. 😅

But wait...

I'm tagged among the favourite authors. Although, I don't consider myself much of an established author among the other big names you mentioned but you accurately described my writing style - cool and thorough. That's what I mostly aim when I write besides being "casual".

Anyhoo, I'm commenting pretty late (because under the weather 🤧) but I'm walking on air since I was notified with this mention. 💃

when somebody shares one of my old tutorial posts

Some of your tutorials are still bookmarked in my browser 🙂.

I don't consider myself much of an established author among the other big names you mentioned

It is your modesty that speaks 😀

Each author himself decides how often to publish. When you post less often, your posts seem more valuable. You don't want to miss a single one, because you don't know when the next one will be. But times change and I'm sure I'll see your posts more often someday 😉

You don't want to miss a single one, because you don't know when the next one will be.

:)))

I have finally posted after 11 days - something related to lifestyle but an entirely different subject this time . 😉

somebody shares one of my old tutorial posts

Guilty as charged your honor. (•ิ‿•ิ)

Haha. Low-key love this crime.

Hi o1eh, it is pretty good to read that you texted sth about my account 😊 I have a big change about my life that's why I didn't have time enough time to write a post. Also, it's getting hard to come back after taking a break 🙄 Actually, I missed this platform and friendship 🌸

Wow, didn't expect to get a comment from you!

I have a big change about my life that's why I didn't have time enough time to write a post.

This is quite understandable and probably happens to everyone. Steemit is not going anywhere and will always be waiting for you, the main thing is that you do not lose your account keys.

have a big change about my life

I hope the changes are only positive 🙂

Thank you so much o1eh, yep fortunately positive things, I'll write a post about it 😊

I look forward to reading from you. I was already worried.
Best regards. ⛵

Hi dear germansailor, I am so happy to hear this, thanks a lot 🤗 I'm planning to write a post in a short time 🌸

That is nice. 😊

Yes, I am not one of those who participate in competitions on time😆

You are definitely not late.

The organiser has mentioned:

All publications up to the PayOut of this article will be considered.

You will definitely see another comment from me. This is such a wonderful and thorough reading list.

Mom duties call at the moment. So here I am again:

Thank you for the honorable mention. A compliment like this from one of my favorite authors means the world to me. When I read this, it felt like I was seeing myself through your eyes. Your description captures my essence perfectly, reflecting my curiosity and depth. Thank you for such insightful words. And I keep wondering why my 2nd one is always so curious, so inquisitive...

Your list is really unique. You have written and described authors under the precise genre. You are always thorough in your work. It amazes me the kind of presence you have on this platform. I will have to be reborn for this kind of dedication :)

You are definitely not late.

I have to admit, attentiveness is not my strong point 😀.

Your list is really unique.

I think most people who have already spent some time on the platform are familiar with all the authors I have listed. However, this list may be useful for newbies just joining. I would like more people to read authors who put effort into their posts. I wish there were more readers here on this platform in general. That's why I shared this list.

Thank you for such a sincere comment 😊.

What a great list you have here!

I love the listing and category and trust me you are one of the best in sciences, social and lifestyle.

The most interesting thing is that, I read 95% of your listed authors regularly and they all fits in.

This was a great way to express appreciation to our little efforts here.

Thank you so much.

I read 95% of your listed authors regularly

So, you too like to read interesting posts 😀

This was a great way to express appreciation to our little efforts here.

Each of the listed authors deserves recognition and a wider circle of readers.

you are one of the best in sciences, social and lifestyle.

Thank you, these are loud words 🤗

When I saw that I was tagged in a post called Reading List, I initially assumed that I would have to prepare to write about favorite books, lol. 🤭
Well, Steemit is quite a book with so many chapters and in different genres, you're right. And it's hard to even explain why you write in this style and this genre, lol. But to be mentioned, nevertheless, by one of my favorite bloggers here, whose style to me is unique and wonderful, as I've told you before, is an honor. Thank you!
I also like that you mention the beginning and the confusing feeling of being a blockchain beginner, the difficulty of navigating the landscape, what is true, what is important, what is good to do and what is not. The platform is so complicated to explain because it can be anything, depending on who it's viewed through, it's all so relative. In the end, there are simply moral values that you follow or not, making your way between posts and authors that you like or not.

Steemit is quite a book with so many chapters and in different genres

Yes, potentially here everyone can find what interests them, as well as like-minded people with whom it will be interesting to communicate. Now there is a lack of specialized communities. for example, many people like sports and Steemit could be a good place to discuss sports events. There were several attempts to create sports communities, but they all failed over time. There could be communities about agriculture, programming, space, or anything else.

I also like that you mention the beginning and the confusing feeling of being a blockchain beginner

I found out about Steemit by accident after reading a stupid post on reddit. There was talk about easy money (which luckily I don't believe at all), but I was more interested in the possibility of blogging on the blockchain. It was something completely new for me. Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone to tell me anything. I signed up spontaneously and started to get to know the platform from its worst side.

I would have to prepare to write about favorite books

In fact, it would be interesting to know what books you like.

I started writing long after I joined the platform. For a long time I said "it's not for me" lol. But I had someone to guide and orient me in the situation initially. And yet, even so, one needs a lot of time and effort to form an idea of the essence, purpose and way of functioning of the whole system. Even today, I'm not sure I have it all figured out. So I understand you, it wasn't easy for you.
Why there are no specialized communities here is perhaps a philosophical and essential question, the answer to which lies in the essence of the specific characteristics of this blockchain in particular, the availability of funds, the way they are distributed, the bloggers who are supported... A very complex question . If I knew the answer, I would probably want to write and philosophize more on the subject, but unfortunately I am not that knowledgeable.
As for the books, now that's not what your post is about, thank God. 😁 The truth is, my original thought that this post was about books scared me a little because while I've been an avid reader over the years, I haven't reached for a book with the passion I used to in a long time due to certain life circumstances where I find myself in and which completely change my perceptions, priorities and my way of life.

"it's not for me" lol

Now we can say that it was a very funny conclusion 🤣

If I knew the answer, I would probably want to write and philosophize more on the subject, but unfortunately I am not that knowledgeable.

There are probably many reasons, but I think that most people still try to make money here. If there was some powerful account that supported posts exclusively about, say, sailing, I think there would be a lot of "experts" in this field.

I haven't reached for a book with the passion I used to in a long time

In my case, books have been replaced by the Internet. First, I started writing articles on Wikipedia, then I created my own site, and then there was Steemit. Considering the fact that there is still real life, there is not enough time for books. However, occasionally I still try to read. Nothing can replace the physical presence of a book in your hands and the smell of paint from a new book.

but I think that most people still try to make money here. If there was some powerful account that supported posts exclusively about, say, sailing, I think there would be a lot of "experts" in this field.

That's exactly what I wanted to say, but I didn't dare. It's interesting how I claim that Steemit is my place to freely express my opinion, but at the same time I dare not talk about things that concern the blockchain in general😂

Considering the fact that there is still real life, there is not enough time for books.

I'm glad there are others like me and I won't be judged by everyone for not reading books anymore.😃
Admirations for your work on Wikipedia! Some people don't see it as a legitimate source that can be relied upon, but personally I use it almost every day looking for information on this or that, and I actually believe it to be true.

Thank you! ☕
It is an honor to make your list.

I do believe that writing is when a user not only read your post but the mind flows with it.
The moments we get when we relive the post. That is what writing is all about and what I experience when I read the posts of most of these authors you have mentioned. (some are new to me)

Just one thing, the list is not complete as your name is not on it.

I do believe that writing is when a user not only read your post but the mind flows with it.

Exactly! I don't know why, but when I write a post, I can't help but imagine someone reading it. Will he be interested? Does this text have any meaning? Such questions constantly haunt me. There are times when I write more than 200 words, and then I delete everything because I think that the post is going to be pointless 😆.

the list is not complete as your name is not on it.

Thank you 😊.

I've learned that it is the post that you like the lease that gets the most support. Murphy's law?
I've learned that you can't please everyone.
I've also learned to write for myself. After all, it is my story.

Haha! It looks like Steemit teaches us a lot. (•

Thank you for the reading list, and for the mention @o1eh!

This is a wonderful group of contributors you have mentioned here... I have probably read all of them at various times, and I'd say they are part of the "backbone" of the Steemit community!

As I read this, I found myself thinking about the many people I miss on this platform. Not necessarily the ones that left at the infamous "split" as those who have (before AND since) just quietly vanished, one day. I still hold out hopes that they might suddenly show up again, one day... perhaps because the price of Steem suddenly goes high, or maybe just because some new place they moved to has suddenly closed down.

It's one of the things I really like about Steemit... this knowledge that there is no "company" that's suddenly going to just stop one day.

Of course, I also really like the many wonderful creative contributors I have gotten to know here!

I found myself thinking about the many people I miss on this platform.

I have been on this platform for less than three years, but even in such a relatively short period of time, some authors I read regularly have left it. Everyone has their own reasons for this. Some did it because of busyness in real life, some were disappointed in the level of earnings, and some had conflicts with other authors.

I'd say they are part of the "backbone" of the Steemit community!

I agree with you on this. These are well-known authors who are active members of the community.

It's one of the things I really like about Steemit

Steemit consists of thousands of faces, it is doomed to change over time, but change can always be for the better 😀

Super list and I noticed two names of Steemians I never read do they all like to join Dream Steem? As I understand from @soulfuldreamer I should have mentioned those who did not.

It sounds like a big plus to me that there's no need to comment once being an SR. No chance I hit the jackpot with the lottery since I do not have a ticket.

It was great reading you and thanks for mentioning me.

A great, happy day & stay safe.
🍀💕

do they all like to join Dream Steem?

I don't think so. I've written about authors I like, regardless of where they post.

It sounds like a big plus to me that there's no need to comment once being an SR.

I'm not actually commenting because I'm SR. I enjoy interacting with people here on Steemit.

It was great reading you and thanks for mentioning me.

Thank you for your writings, they are really interesting to read.

Thank you for answering, explsining & the compliment.
I hope you have a good Sunday
❤️🍀

This is my understanding. And I may be wrong.

A compilation like yours and o1eh's is definitely great work. Or you can say that you have elaborated on their writing styles and niche.
So please keep doing the great work 👍

Actually, you might be right. I intend to search today and this weekend for unknown, invisible writers. They must be there, the question is where.

No worries, I am stubborn. 😉💕🍀
