Midnight Blues
"I am going to sleep after watching TV. I want both of you to go to your study and learn your lessons for a while."
The kids looked at their mother with innocent lamb-like faces and quietly went to their study room and started reading their books.
She knew that until the schools didn't open, this storm of noise would keep raging in her mind. She knew these books were just an excuse to keep peace in the home.
She went to her room, closed the door, and laid down with her head on the pillow. Just then, she heard a slight sound... She raised her head and saw that the door was slightly open.
Uff, these kids! No matter how much I forbid them, they won't listen. Neither they rest, nor do they let me rest. She sat up again and started thinking of a way to keep them quiet.

Then she saw a green ball the size of a big melon flying into the room in the dim light of the room. What kind of ball is this? My children have no such ball! Where did this come from? Thinking about this, she went a little closer and looked at it. There were raised spots all over it.
Putting her finger on her chin, she started thinking... I have seen this ball somewhere, but I can’t remember where. Suddenly, a bulb lit up in her mind. Oh my! This is Corona! Oh yes, it is Corona. I have seen this on TV and in forwarded messages on my phone. It looks the same everywhere.
Well! So today it has got this much courage that it has come here... in my room! She had so much hatred in her heart for Corona that she did not want to see it for a moment. Now, looking at her enemy in front of her, she could not hold herself back. First of all, she quickly wore a mask and attacked it with sanitizer.
She picked up the coffeepot kept on the stool next to the bed and threw it on him. Then she took out vitamin tablets from the drawer and threw them on it!
But that round ball was shamelessly rolling from here to there. She thought that it was not going to listen to her. She took out a vaccine from the cupboard and attacked it. But nothing happened.
"You wretched one! May worms infest you, and may you die from a virus! How many homes have you ruined, and how many curses will you take from all of us?"
She did not stop there, "You will see that one day you will cry. You will regret your deeds. Be careful, there is still time. Be careful! Go back… otherwise...!"
She looked for more weapons to finish it and then her eyes stopped on a rope, and she tied Corona's hands tightly.
The coronavirus that had created terror in the whole world today looked helpless. It looked panicked and scared. Corona's tongue came out, begging for its life. It was breathing fast, and its eyes started closing.
But her eyes were burning with anger! She started attacking it with a sharp knife. She had no mercy on him, so she tied his neck with another rope and hung it from the fan!
Her anger had not subsided yet, "I will finish you by burning you in fire!"
Thinking about this, she brought kerosene oil and sprinkled it on it. Where is the matchbox? She searched everywhere but could not find the matchbox.
She called her son, "Tony, son, please give me the matchbox. I have to burn this Coronavirus!"
Tony came running fast, "Mamma! Are you okay?"
She looked at Tony and asked, "Did you bring the matchbox?"
Tony sat down, holding his head. "Oh God, Mama is again having a Corona attack like every year in July right from 2020, she is having this dream again at midnight."
He was thinking, "Oh no, how many times have I told her that everything is normal now and you should not watch TV shows with a coronavirus theme!"
You may remember that the global, almost universally uniform appropriation of people, the propaganda with the aim of spreading fear, caused me far more panic than such a virus... There is still a lack of reappraisal and admission of mistakes today. Perhaps art, perhaps literature is a way of reflecting on this incomprehensible phase of recent history...

Yes, I do remember that but I also remember that Western countries suffered the worst death cases including America and Germany. India suffered comparatively fewer deaths if you see it in the population ratio or maybe all deaths were not reported. Whatever the reason, the entire scenario was that we all were living under the fear of death.
Along with COVID 19 came the madness. It was like that with HIV way back when. That one was easier because -
We were in Walmart like and it was like yesterday and there we were in our masks. There were several of us. We were around the marked down video bin. There was a little tiny mother. A cute little lady with two children, teens larger than she was and they wore no masks.
I think perhaps she was a mute. She pulled at her chin while she looked at me and wanted me to take my mask off.
There were signs, "Masks Required!"
We took our masks off, the wife and I.
I wasn't afraid anyways. The worst that could happen: will, okay I was afraid of being fined for not wearing the mask but that didn't happen. A fine.
We did not get thrown out of the store. We went through the checkout line.
I faith healed myself and my wife through the whole thing. I remember the persistent cough, the way it gripped the ability to breathe and instead of panic, relax, and the sputum like gluey paste, finally came up.
Over and over again for months. The vaccine came out and only then did the coughing stop.
It has mutated through the years, the COVID. And it truly did not become a plague until the towering infernos of the controlled burn policy smoked continent after continent. Yes, like yesterday the smoke was thick.
I take my herbs. I know full well the efficacy of them. Yet, I banned on Facebook for writing the formula because... people would live if they took it.

Thanks for such a nice detailed comment bro! Now after the pandemic is over we can say whatever we like but the situation during COVID-19 was unbearable. Most of us were scared even if we kept a brave face. I know what our government did to make vaccines and not only vaccinated all our population 1.4 billion once but twice or even thrice and then sent it to different countries for free of charge. I hope we never see this day in the future ever again.

I was not in India but in Australia during that period when Coronavirus was at its peak and when I came back to India Australia suffered the worst despite the best medical services. It was such a bad phase and so many lost their lives that left its effects on people's mindsets. Thank you for your visit and for telling me about your personal experience.

I guess your country did not suffer from this deadly disease as we did because our southern states were also not that affected either. But in north India people suffered a lot and once we left Australia the situation was much worse there too.
