어떻게 이 노래가 유튜브 알고리즘에 간택돼 내 귀에까지 닿게 됐는지 의문이다. 최신곡을 자주 듣는 계정의 '나만의 믹스'에서 나온 노래라 당연히 요즘 발매된 곡인 줄 알았다. 찾아보니 2011년 노래라 놀랐다. 이 곡이 있는 메모리하우스의 앨범을 쭉 들어봤지만, 앨범에서 이 곡만 좋았다. 그래서 오늘 저녁엔 이 곡만 듣고 있다.

찾아봐도 별다른 정보는 없다. 유튜브 댓글에는 향수를 느낀다는 사람들이 있어 당시 유행인 노래였나 혼자 추측해봤다. 가사는 죄다 시적이라 이해가 안 된다. 그래서 검색을 멈추고 이 곡에 담긴, 앨범 아트와 닮은 아련하고 아스라한 빛만 떠올리고 있다.

이 곡을 찾아보다 To The Lighthouse라는, 한국어로는 등대로로 번역되는 버지니아 울프의 소설이 있다는 것을 알게 됐다. 그래서 그 책을 읽어볼 생각이다.
