NEW MEETING DAYS & TIMES
We've been meeting twice weekly in our Discord channel, keeping up to date with folks and really just staying connected. However, we've found we are missing so many of you! In order to combat this we are going to switch things up a bit. Previously, we'd held meetings at the same time on different days. This could be making it impossible for some to participate. We don't want that! We want you to be able to make it, and not feel left out.
Of course, there's always going to be a conflict somewhere, but we are trying to accommodate as many of you as humanly possible. 😍
We are going to try meetings on these NEW DAYS & TIMES starting this coming week.
Note: Times in columns are the same time, different time zones.

We will be giving these times a try for a while to see if it makes it better or worse. Only time will tell.
Looking for Scouts
We are currently accepting volunteers to help scout for new Helpies. Essentially, this would include looking for new folks on the blockchain, who already create quality content, but could use a little help navigating the waters. Or... maybe you just think they are super cool. That could work too. 😎
You, as a scout, would make suggestions to the Helpie Witness Team, who would give it a gander and (generally) invite them in! It's pretty much that easy. We just need more eyes finding people. 👀

Looking for Curators
You guys! We totally have this sweet little account set up (@helpiecake) that is meant to be used on non-helpies (mostly). We wanted a place that we could really give back to the wider community, especially considering how much great content is out there, just waiting for a little love. Our superwoman scout and top curator @paintingangels has been using this account to give out the updoots as she has time, but real life calls and to help her help you, we want to invite some folks to also be able to use this account.
The power in this account is currently (super small and) delegated by those in our Witness Team. We plan to add more to it soon and hope it will be worth a bit more than the proverbial high-five. 😏
Do YOU already curate? Feel like giving out some extra updoots whilst you're at it? No pressure, you do what you can, when you can. ❤️ Contact @paintingangels (or another team member) for more information.
Delegation Changes Update
We hope everyone has had the time to see our recent announcement about changes to our delegation/upvote offerings. We decided we didn't want Helpie to offer higher upvotes for more delegation. We totally understand that many will choose to remove delegation because of this. We are hoping to give you enough time to do that and ask us any questions you may have. We will be changing most everyone's weight to 10% (aside from Team Members and those who do extra work for Helpie). We will assess this as we go and adjust if/when needed. We are hoping we can spread even more love around in this way.
We are currently implementing this and should be fully underway on the 25th.

Witness Update
After a bit of a rocky start changing the reigns of the Witness, we are now smoothly running with no issues. @swelker101 & @eonwarped are really handling most of the technical aspects and report that since the lost blocks a few weeks back, everything has been great.
Another little bit of Witness Team news: Our dear @pechichemena🐷 has taken a tiny step back from Steem to focus on a very big upcoming move. He's still around, giving all that piggy love we expect, but has asked to not be a part of the decision-making for a while. Though we were sad to hear this, we love him and will take him how we can get him. If currently, that is in teeny bacony bits, so be it. 😍 🐷

Helpie is an invite-only community. If you'd like to be considered to be a member of @helpie as a minnow in training, please consider joining Palnet / MSP and participating actively there, we have scouts constantly looking for the right minnows to support, and they will reach out with a private invitation.

Ive been missing the meetups, and sadly i dont think these new times are much better for me. I will just have to make more effort to mingle off time in discord...missing all you folk at helpie xx

As far as the Helpie community goes, we are really just a group of folks 'hanging out' and being supportive on the blockchain. We are quite the eclectic group, from music to science to just being human.

Are you on Discord? Primarily this is where we interact and really get to know each other, though we do try to encourage on the chain interactions as well.
In fact, I started doing WACKY WEDNESDAYS just for this reason. 😍

If you're brand new, join PAL , it's the one with most of the STEEMfolks. This will give you the ability to DM most people without being 'friends'. If you share a common server, the door is opened. 😎
PAL (Peace Abundance Liberty) is also
the MinnowSupportProject and where most radio/live shows are held.
Again, Discord is scary at first. But don't give up. It will be second nature in no time.

I honestly don't know as I have been struggling time wise for the meetings. Saturday may be the best chance yet but Tuesday Is impossible as 2 am here. Thanks for the updates though.
Yes. We were hoping that moving it later during the week would help the United States folks (who are all working during the other time), and offering on the weekend EARLIER would help those around the world... also understanding that some folks just don't STEEM on the weekends.
I have hope we'll eventually find that extra sweet spot.
