Breakup with regular Table Salt and marry Sea Salt!

in #health7 years ago

So by now I think everyone knows the difference between regular old table salt and the sexy sea salt. So why does this matter. Well if you were wondering it is big freaking deal to your organs. Yes.. you know the organs..those things that actually allow you to get up and do all the fabulous and fun things that you do each day. Here a quick guide on how to help your body by kicking table salt to the curb and marrying the sexy sea salt.

1. Table Salt is a basic b!t*&ch. Yes I said it. It is as basic as pumpkin latte in the fall. It has been  stripped of its minerals during processing and as a result table salt causes gross blood pressure fluctuations, instead of stabilizing it.  Our bodies requires a certain amount of sodium for optimum health, and we could not live without it. Healthy sea salts selectively make a body a hostile environment for pathogens, such as bacteria and parasites.  Table salt tastes "salty" but it has none of the natural nutrition that our bodies need. To make matters worse processed foods and fast foods are loaded down with this cheap salty table salt that messes with our bodies.

 2.  Sea Salt is rich in saltiness and minerals. On the other hand the sexy Sea Salt naturally contains selenium, which helps to chelate toxic heavy metals from the body. It also contains boron which helps prevent osteoporosis, and chromium which regulates blood sugar levels. Sea Salt is one of the few sources for safe copper ingestion, and copper helps the body to form new arteries whenever the main arteries become too clogged. This is awesome!

3. Table Salt has additives:  Did you know that  Table Salt is not just sodium chloride. It also contains additives that are designed to make it more free-flowing. Ferrocyanide, talc, and silica aluminate are commonly included. Aluminum intake leads to neurological disorders, particularly when no selenium is provided to help the body to chelate it. Aluminum bio-accumulates inside the body, causing further degeneration over time. Talc is a known carcinogen, though its effects upon ingestion have not been heavily studied. While it was once used in baby powders, the majority of such products now use cornstarch instead of talc, because of the known health risks. The F.D.A. has a special provision to allow talc in table salt, even whilst it is prohibited in all other foods, due to toxicity issues. According to current regulations, table salt can be up to 2% talc.  This is a Hot Mess! No thanks.

So break up with Table Salt and marry the sexy Sea Salt.  I actually use table salt to scrub my pots and I use it in my natural cleaning supplies for my home. This article is not medical advice. Please do your own research and let me know what you find.
