Pakistan is one of the few thirld world countrues where Polio is still an active disease. People here because of lack of education don't get their new borns the proper vaccines required to protect the childreb from these kinds of diseases. The disability caused by polio is really heartbreaking where a child cannot walk in his life again.

The Polio workers throughout the year desperately try to provide the vaccines to rural areas of Pakistan. A big Salute to these men and women who tirelessly knock on every door so that our children do not suffer such horrible consequences because of our lack of realization towards this disease.

Recently a polio worker had to travel up a hilly area covered with atleast four feet of snow but the grave obstacles did not make him stutter. The man marched on and created a path and faithfully completed his duty. Our Prime minister Imran Khan met with him and congratulated his efforts in helping get rid of this disease from Pakistan.
What a great share i didnt know that polio still existed in such a way, here we have a LAW to have your kids vaccinated, but still there are people who by religion decline, so that way it stats alive among the citizens, big problem worldwide.

Yes it is still a reality in some places although cases related to polio are decreasing but still people are exposed to it by not letting the children have proper vaccine.

Yes same here, its a big thing if you dont vaccinate
I wish there were more brave men to walk in the snow and climb mountains to to tackle this issue.
Polio is a dreadful disease, the fight to successfully launch Polio vaccine was equally dreadful.
I believe education, awareness and understanding of polio, it's seriousness and vaccines is the only solution to taking a significant step towards eradicating polio in Pak. Hopefully, eradication will come soon
Yep public awareness is the only option to fully eradicate polio by encouraging the masses to take proper vaccines for their children against this awful disease.

Sorry I have missed some of your updates I am sure. This is good news to see that you have many fighting that. It drives me crazy that now in the USA we have people who will not vaccinate their kids. We are having the first measles outbreaks in like 30 years because of it.
Yeah I've been hearing this situation but can't really understand why parents are so stubborn against the health of their own children and risking their immunity to diseases such as these.
Poliovirus is a horrible disease. I was under the impression that this was wiped out. Most places don’t do vaccines because of this. So the comeback of polio is possible in places that it was eradicated from.

The main reason this hasn't been eradicated from places like Pakistan is the stubbornness of the rural people who don't seem to care about the disastrous results and just ignore basic vaccines.

Here we had to force everyone to get the vaccine. That was a long time ago and it was a major illness here. Now we don’t give vaccinations anymore.

Your prime minister did the right thing, polio virus is still on the increase in some part of africa and honestly it quiet alarming, because alot of people don't get to know how deadly it is and also the harmful effect it can cause to an individual the only help now is to create more awareness and provide more vaccines because alot of people are ignorant about it.
Yes we can't just let it be and have to give even more effort in order ti eradicate such a nuisance
