Thanks for the update, didn't know you were doing WIm Hoff. I kind of am too, actually have a video about that coming up! I pretty much only have one meal a day too, but that started with the ketogenic diet. I have bulletproof coffee though for breakfast, don't know if that counts. Well, lately I have been having eggs and bacon because I was losing too much wait :/ So basically I have nothing of value to add :)

Eggs and bacon! Sounds good.

Yeah, I forgot to link to my other posts. I'll update the original, thanks for the reminder.

Thanks. Original post updated with links to previous Wim Hof posts.

Question: you still doing the ketogenic thing? Do you think it's worth it? I'm certainly curious about it, but not sure if it's worth the effort. I really like just eating and drinking whatever. The bulletproof coffee comes with butter calories, so that might count as a breakfast, I guess. One meal a day... that's intense.

I am, yeah. Whether it's worth it, is a tough question. For me, I always knew I had a sweet tooth, but now I realize I had a straight up sugar addiction. Now I appreciate just how much sugar I generally eat and how pervasive sugar is more generally. There have been lots of positive effects, but most are due to the reduction of sugar, not the diet itself. That being said going into ketosis enables you to reduce your sugar without being low energy, losing muscle tissue, plus ketones are anti-oxidants so it's gotta be good having those floating around your blood stream. But for me the biggest deals have been: 90% reduction in acne and elimination of the need for skin cream (sugar), 90% reduction in acid reflux and indigestion (sugar), complete elimination of insomnia (probably due to lack of sugar as well as no more indigestion), waking more rested, and elimination of belly fat (sugar). Of course, I lessened the number of meals I ate as well, so that's obviously a factor, but I have almost too little body fat now (you'll see in an upcoming video). The good thing about losing this weight while in ketosis though is that it definitely hasn't resulted in any muscle loss. I want to say I have more stable energy levels and less brain fog, but that seems very subjective. I do know that usually when I go off the diet and slip out of ketosis, I'm eager to get back in. Sugary food doesn't really have the pay off it used to. I don't know if it's more psychological or I can't control myself and I have too much sugar, but it's happened a couple of times and really quickly want to get back in. Probably will go off it again soon, so I'll be sure to keep you updated.

In conclusion: I would recommend everyone try the ketogenic diet for a month if only for the fact that it's an alternative way to fuel your body that you might find is superior, it gives you an appreciation of just how much sugar you are consuming and is around you, and it's good resilience training. It's a really hard diet to maintain, but as I did it I started doing more and more things. Wait till you see my morning routine!

Very cool! That's a pretty impressive list of benefits. I may try it at some point.

Also, I just had a piece of chocolate as a snack, and it was wonderful as always. Heheh. Looking forward to the upcoming videos.

Haha, omg, LILLY'S. It's chocolate made with Stevia and it is a life saver :) I was never an artificial sweetener guy, but ... yeah, Stevia

Hahah! Nice. I hadn't thought about using non-sugar sweetener while doing that stuff. Very interesting. I'm a huge fan of Trader Joe's Pound Plus chocolate bars. We keep our cabinet stocked with the milk and dark so we can grab a square now and again. So good.
