Many of us try to eat healthier, but there are acutally some foods that will pack more of a health punch in our diet than others do. These “superfoods” are touted for their wealth of nutritional benefits, many of them giving us 10+ good reasons to eat them!

In this article, I’d like to share 10 of the superfoods that are hot right now. Everyone should be consuming these foods for ultimate health – barring you don’t have any health concerns that may prevent you from eating one or more of these foods.

For the sake of time, I am breaking the list into two articles…you will find the first 5 MUST-EAT SUPERFOODS below!

10 SUPERFOODS You Should Be Eating for Ultimate Health! – Part 1

1. ACAI BERRIES – Acai berries come with a LOAD of health benefits, making them one of the most popular superfoods right now. They can help keep your heart healthy because they are extremely high in anthocyanins – which is an antioxidant that works to keep your cholesterol levels properly balanced. Acai also aids in proper digestion, weight loss, increased energy, and skin health.

2. BLUBERRIES – Blueberries are low in calories and packed with flavor, making them a delicious choice at snack time. Their abundance of antioxidants helps fight aging and cancer in the body by resisting DNA damage. Blueberries also help reduce your blood pressure and your risk of heart disease.

3. ALMONDS – Almonds possess an abundant source of two important nutrients you brain needs to thrive and grow: riboflavin and L-carnitine. Both of these have been proven to heighten brain activity, in a way that may decrease the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.

Checked for blueberries and almond. Both are my favourites but kinda pricey so will take them as a treat.

They definitely are a little on the expensive side. I see it as an investment to my health though...eating the right foods could save you money on doctor bills and OTC medications.

Indeed, so rather spending on doctor bills. Why not spend it sparingly and enjoy the wonderful superfood.

thanks...I think many pharmacies that I come across do have plenty of acai berry...it is like the ultimate food for weightloss. Informative. should give it a try.

I've read somewhere that the shape of the fruits represents what benefits it can give to the certain organ. Like, avocado gives benefits to the women's reproductive organs cause it looks like that 'part'.
