Do you know why drinking Green Tea has tons of benefits? Here are some of the benefits that you probably didn't know or already know and I'm here to share it out with you. I have known some of the benefits through Tea House Expert where I purchase Green Tea and visit Tea exhibition.

You live longer!!!

There's a study was done by The Ohsaki National Health Insurance initiated in years 1994, involved 40,530 Japanese adult aged 40 to 79 years old without a history of stroke, coronary heart disease, or cancer at baseline.

The participant was being followed up for 11 years (1995 - 2005). Based on the study, those who drank a lot of Green Tea which is Five or more cups in a day were significantly less likely to die during an 11 year period.

  • Death from stroke: 42% lower in women, 35% lower in men.
  • Death from heart disease: 31% lower in women, 22% lower in men.
  • Death of all causes: 23% lower in women, 12% lower in men.

Green Tea contains antioxidants may boost up your metabolic rate in which help you to burn fat into calories especially at your abdominal fat according to the study. Even at rest, green tea can help you burn fat. It's loaded with a potent antioxidant called catechins. In catechins, there is a substance that boosts the metabolism called EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate).

Enhance your working memory

Working memory is like a computer ram where you can hold a bunch of information in a period, manipulate and process it. It is essential for human as it represents learning, decision making, behaviour and intelligence. Green Tea improves your memory by producing new brain cell in the hippocampus, increase neuroplasticity in other parts of the brain.

Brain protection against Alzheimer's and Parkinson's

alhamdulillah I have been consuming green tea for one year, and it's all thanks to my trip to a fancy restaurant and they offer me green tea, they say to me this green tea is very beneficial for your body, since then I drink green tea.

I have heard of the benefits of green tea and should be present on my diet but I haven't incorporate it yet. I drink it once in a while.

Hi @dawnsheree, thank you for dropping by my post :). You should incorporate into your diet because of the benefit that green tea providing and of course the taste too.
