Benefits of High-Dose Vitamin C
Perhaps the most studied and researched substance in history, this one simple molecule is the most under-represented and misunderstood item in the biohacker's toolbox. It is required for proper collagen production, builds and strengthens bone better than calcium, neutralizes any and all known toxins it has come in contact with, destroys any and all viruses it has come in contact with, is essential for rebuilding arterial walls and healing wounds, protects against all types of radiation, from prolonged sun exposure to the Fukushima disaster.
Most animals in the wild typically synthesizes a human equivalent of around 10,000 mg per day of this substance, when healthy and can produce up to 100,000 mg per day if exposed to molds, viruses or toxins, but Humans and other primates, guinea pigs and a species of fruit bat suffer from a genetic mutation that blocks our ability to synthesize ourselves.
Surprisingly, the RDA for this substance is over 100x less than what the average animal produces, at 90 mg/day (yet even captive gorillas and other primates are given far more than this amount). I'm talking of course about ascorbic acid... known more widely as vitamin C.
When we take anywhere from 100-3000 mg daily, we can assist our immune system and keep up our day to day repair, but exposure to toxins, viruses, bacteria, physical trauma and any kind of stress massively reduces available vitamin C and makes healing and repair extremely difficult. Couple this with processed foods and a depleted soil biome and this just doesn't cut it for thriving. With vitamin C, it is all about dosage. 6000-10,000 mg/day or more, of regular, ascorbic acid is completely safe and massively effective for treating health issues of all kinds.
It is all about collagen formation and its amazing antioxidant abilities, as well as being necessary for every cell and in making glutathione, the most important defensive nutrient within the cells themselves.
I hope this information is helpful to anyone wanting to boost their immune system in a major way.

Newbie upvote! I'm following you, so when I see a post suitable for my sister-account @accelerator, I'll promote it there.
Maybe a post explaining how Vit C and collagen are linked ;-)
Thank you @aakom. Sounds great! That's a great post idea... especially since that's a primary function of C and is why we get atherosclerosis and other animals don't.
I'll have to put that on my list of topics, for sure. ;)
