The Curator - Issue #15 - Halloween Edition
Muahaha... Hi Everyone.
All Hallows Eve. Or Halloween. As many in the world currently call the spooky time holiday.
Once a year. On October 31st. Is a time when ghosts, monsters, dead zombies, and who knows what other ghouls.
Are able to come out and walk among the living. Perhaps to play tricks on them In order to steal their souls. Oh my!!!
So.... Where does Halloween originate from?
Many give credit to America. But would you believe that it actually started from an ancient Celtic festival called Samhain. In old European times, Perhaps 2,000 or more years ago. To ward off spirit ghosts, people would leave treats of food and wine at their doorstep. This was believed to be the time that the world between the living and the dead collided. Therefore they built bonfires to sacrifice crops, animals, and even humans at times. To give as gifts to the druid spirits.
The Halloween we love today has much evolved into costumes, games, kids Trick-Or-Treating, in hopes of getting their colorful bags filled with candy. With no tricks of course. Bobbing for apples. And lots of spooky tales. For a frightening and fun filled evening of celebrating. Though is mostly for the kids these days. There are many who spend their entire lives loving the fun that Halloween can bring.
Ok guys. Before we direct you to read all of the spooky posts...
