Bad news cucumbers drop off
Some of the cucumber fruits began to turn yellow and dry. I do not know why this is connected, but definitely not with pollination. Because there's nothing to pollinate. Only just one flower boy ....
Maybe he has little room in my improvised pot. I cut a part of the stems so that the bush does not grow further. In one bush, only two fruit were tied up - it will not be enough ...
Getting yellow can mean: too much water, too less water, too less light/sun or too less soil.
I had them outside, full heat, watering once a day and they were doing fine. I did not fertilize. These are big plants.
Thank you @wakeupkitty, the fact is that they are always short of water, almost every day, the leaves look sluggish, and I pour water on them every day.
The sun is enough, for a month there was not one cloudy day.
Maybe they (the roots) are tight and do not have enough food, that's the fruit and die ...
Are they in full ground or pots? You could try to give a part way more water twice a day (early in the morning and before/as the sun goes down). Cover the soil around the plants with hay or leaves etc so it will be less dry. Used tea leaves, coffee etc can be used to fertilize perhaps there is something else as well?
Thank you, I understand, they are in packages, for growing mycelium of mushrooms. The volume of land is about 8-10 liters.
I began to water it in the morning and in the evening. Straw is available, tomorrow I'll cover it.
