Street Art #243 Canettes de Ruelle Part 6, Montreal
Last post about the street art festival Canettes de Ruelle in Rosemont Petite Patrie (district in Montreal). As I said during this series, great festival (it was the third edition this year) with very cool murals in different alleys, easy to walk with restaurants and bars... Perfect day.

WHO
203 Crew
203 Crew was founded by Arnold and Borrris in Sherbrooke when graffiti didn't have a real presence in this city, it was like a school of graffiti. With its artistict abstract direction, 203 moved on to other creative fields (tattoo, legal murals...). Many street artists based on Montreal come from this crew : Lyfer, Ekes, Naïmo, Sener...
On this mural, different artists participated Lyfer, Ekes, Borrris, Algue, Flying Eric and Trak.
I was sure I made more pictures of this one for all the details, but no... I shouldn't have stopped to drink a beer :-)

Mr Tips (aka Dodo Ose ?)
I'm not sure about Mr Tips / Dodo Ose... So if you know something...
Dodo Ose, French artist that studied at the Beaux-Arts in Cannes but he decided to reorient himself, evolving from the urban style to traditional painting. Now based in Montreal working with the collective A'Shop, he created surrealist landscapes that merge figurative and imaginary, poetry and fantasy.
Mr Tips would be his nickname for his less formal work.
More about his murals :
Naïmo
Member of 203, Naïmo Dupéré aka Naïmo, artist from St-Casimir in Québec, is mostly known for his lettering.
Very good writer, I like his style... And the other side of the wall, a big cat :
Hoar
Hoar, street artist based in Montreal, very 80's and pop style.
Macak & Unknown
The two last of the series, with an unknown artist !

really impressive and great artists. what yousaid about the Rosemont Petite Patrie sounds really after my fancy.
Yep one street with full of good shops, restaurants and bar and many alleys with street art (legal and less legal...)
Many styles in a same idea, I love that. It seems a trivial matter, but the reality is that working with more artists is not always an easy task.

Cool mural... I thought I took other pictures but no... I'll have to walk again in the neighborhood.
