Gray Whale Cove State Beach and Devils Slide make for one of the most scenic stretches of the pacific ocean in the USA. This is one of the few places that I have flown my drone at multiple times. There is a huge parking lot on the east side of highway one, with a dirt road to the side of the lot that leads up a hill to a big open dirt lot that is used for overflow on hot sunny days. Most of the time this extra lot is empty and it makes for a great place to fly a drone. Golden hour is the hour prior to sunset, the low sun provides really good lighting that produces vivid colors and makes nature extra photogenic.

Photos and videos were captured with my DJI Phantom 3 Standard Drone. Images where post processed with Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe Photoshop. The video is unedited, straight out of the camera.

Absolutely beautiful shots, did you get out and see the whale migration? They are currently passing by the Oregon coast and I've gotten out to the coast twice to see them so far. Probably seen like seven so far in total!

Just saw it. Very cool! I gotta get me a drone! Did you find there was a steep learning curve with piloting it?
If you get one with good GPS assistance then they are fairly easy to fly. I have DJI Phantom 3, I like it and it is very easy to fly but it's a bit bulky. I want to get a DJI Mavic Pro.
Your photos are awe inspiring... so glad you're sharing these. Keep up the fantastic work! You must have had to practice a lot to control the drone in the windy coast!
Thank you! The high winds will push it around however DJI does a great job in making these things as easy as possible to control with GPS assisted flight.

Thank you! No problem, I'm still un-decided about the bots. I may or may not use them in the future but if I do I will edit the post and add the amount sent and bot name every time.
This is gorgeous work! I especially love the 'Crashing Waves' footage, I'm a sucker for these clean straight 'from up above' shots and these contrasting orange-blue colours will never bore me :-)
(I'd love to try out some Drone Photography by the way! But there's not a lot of 'free space' in the Netherlands to try this, you're a lucky person!)
Thank you! I love the from above vantage point as well and the coast is my favorite place to go flying. I'm sure there must be places to fly a drone in the Netherlands! Most bodies of water work out well for both easy flying and good photos.
Yes, we have a lot of water in this tiny country, I'll be getting my drivers licence (Yes, I'm late to that game :-)) in a few months, which will open up new possibilities too :-)
