Steemit and Dtube 3D Printed Giveaway

Here with my first ever Steemit/DTube exclusive giveaway! In this video, I design and print Steemit stands and keychains and will be giving them away to 5 lucky winners. Along with that, one of the 5 will also win a 3D printed lithophane of our Lord and Savior, Dorian Nakamoto.
To enter, you just need to upvote this video/blog, and leave ANY comment below. I am going to find out the best way to randomly choose a comment as our grand prize winner, then randomly choose 4 more for the others. I will ship worldwide so anyone can enter! I will pick the winners on February 28th and let them know via comments on this video, as well as creating a quick Steemit blog post on March 1st.

I did giveaway before, you can check my post about cryptokitty. It was success so maybe you can learn from this experience. I tried something similiar few months ago and it also brought good results. Wish you all the best!

In theory it should be possible to query the post on the blockchain via one of the database back, get a list of all commentators, and then randomly select one from that pile. If one was inclined to be a bit of a programmer.
If not – I don't think anyone has written a web-based tool to do that. You might have to just do it the hard way: wait until just before the post cashes out in seven days and run through, writing down people's names on a strip of paper, throw it into a hat, and physically draw it.
On the positive side, that would make for an awesome video.

I note that it is also good to see that someone else is using AIO Robotics' filament. I actually won 1/2 kg of that in a contest earlier last year and I have used it to print a truly amazing amount of stuff. I've certainly been happy enough with it, considering it's considered a budget material.

Yea I actually have used their stuff for a few other colors as well. It is great because you can actually buy a half of a spool.

Hmmm... @lextenebris's idea is interesting.
I think I see a way to do this using the Steem Python API... will have to look into it tomorrow, if I have the time.
It'll be an interesting experiment in any case... maybe I can even make that webapp 😆

This one doesn't watch for commenters though, and needs every candidate to be a follower, resteemer and voter on the post at once.

I think I know how to do it so you can use any combination of the C V R F arguments( Comment, Vote, Reblog, Follow) to decide what conditions need to be fulfilled for a person to be selected.
