A REVIEW OF @adollaraday PROJECT AND ITS IMPACT ON THE STEEM BLOCKCHAIN

Introduction
Charity has always hold a big part of my heart, it is an act of selfless giving. I learnt about the act of giving from my mother, she always tell me:

Givers never lack.

I visited an Orphanage two years on my birthday and since then I have been a part of the home. I believe it is my little way of giving back to the community. This is why I was amazed when I stumbled on @girlsfoundation blog on Steemit. The foundation headed by @faetee have been doing excellently well to spread love to the needy and less-privileged, a special gratitude to the team. Through their blog, I stumbled on @adollaraday account and saw the way they have supported the foundation and many other projects across the world.

A Dollar A Day was founded by @pennsif to support charitable giving projects. This support have been extended to 15 different projects from 9 different countries (Bangladesh, Cameroon, Nigeria, Philippines, South Africa, Spain, Venezuela and others).

A review of @adollaraday Project

After six weeks of running, A Dollar A Day was registered on Steemit as @adollaraday by @cryptocurator, who delegated the first SP to the account; 100SP. The founder of the project, @pennsif, also delegated 5000SP to the account with the aim of upvoting projects they support.

The Steemit community have supported the project by donating SBD and delegating SP to the account, this has been well-received, well-documented and well-accounted for as evident on their blog. Thanks to @hungryhustle for the beautiful logo.

June 2018

Earlier in June, they supported 9 different projects around the world with a total of 240SBD (US$ 375). The projects are:

• @schoolforsdg4 and @womenempowerment – Bangladesh.

• @thegreens – Cameroon.

• For a Better Class Home @yanzel4lyf – Philippines.

• @papilloncharity – South Africa.

• Project Dudeland @bigdude, Project One Opportunity @carlagonz and SteemChurch Venezuela @sc-v – Venezuela.

• @familyprotection – Worldwide.

Later in the month, @pennsif discovered another interesting project from Nigeria; @girlsfoundation – he was impressed with the work @faetee and her team have been doing and @adollarday supported by donating 15SBD to the foundation. This means by the end of June, @adollaraday have donated 300 SBD(US$ 451) to 10 different projects as listed above.

July 2018

The dip continued till July but the act of giving never stopped. The project donated 432 SBD (US$513.21) to the various projects they supported from around the world – 11 different projects in 8 different countries benefitted from the donations. The project received worthy donations from 22 generous Steemians in this month. @pennsif gave a special shout-out to @lynsdaybowes for Walk With Me fundraising post that brought in SBD for the project.

August 2018

It was an August to remember for the project, there was an increase in donations to the delight of everyone. A total of 507 SBD (US$ 519.22) was donated to the projects supported by @adollaraday. It was a 17% increase in SBD over July. There was an increase in the projects from 11 in July to 15 different projects in 9 different countries. That was massive and amazing.

34 generous Steemians donated to the cause. In addition, @cryptocurator and @lyndsaybowes raised funds through their posts, @d-vine, @onemedia and @darrenclaxton also raised funds on MSP Waves.
There was an increase in delegation for the month, @drakos delegated a massive 1000SP to the account. Also, @cryptocariad, @darrenclaxton, @d-vine, @lillywilton, @scottcbusiness and @shanibeer all delegated. Thank you all for believing in the project.

The Impact of @adollaraday on Steem Blockchain

Charity goes a long way in the hearts of people that are involved. Before I go further, let me briefly write about the projects supported by @adollaraday.

• School For SDG4, @schoolforsdg4, Bangladesh:

This project by Mohammed Abdul Aziz, @azizbd, provides free education to 60 children of north-east Bangladesh. This project is supported by the benefits of the Steem Blockchain. Proudly, @adollaradar have supported the project by donating 213 SBD to the school since November, 2017 till date.

• Women Empowerment, @womenempowerment, Bangladesh:

This is also a project by @azizbd as a branch of @schoolforsdg4. This project aims to empower the mothers of the children in School for SDG4 with sewing skills to make them independent and financially buoyant. @adollaraday have supported the project since May by donating 135 SBD to the project.

• The Greens, @thegreens, Cameroon:

@mr-greens founded this organization 8 years ago for environment conservation. Thanks to Ngalim Franklin for this innovation to involve young people of Cameroon in areas related to conservation of the environment. Since May, @adollarday have supported the project by donating 139 SBD so far.

• Girls Foundation, @girlsfoundation, Nigeria:

This organization aims to educate, enlighten and empower girls and young women in the society. This is a wonderful project by @faetee and her team. @adollaraday have donated 111 SBD to the project since June till date.

• The Papillon Foundation, @papilloncharity, South Africa:

This is a non-profit charity founded by Stephen Smith in 2012 to help the less-privileged children and aged people of the country. They jpoined Steemit in June, 2017. @adollaraday have donated 208 SBD to the project since November 2017 till now.

Other projects include @creativestreet, @sanmigiguels, @scholarsph and Project Lab @yanzel4lyf all in Philippines. Women’s Co-operative @trucklife-family in Spain, Tazewell Animal Rescue Centre @tarc in USA. Little Disciples @littledisciples, SteemChurch Venezuela @sc-v, One Opportunity @oneopportunity all in Venezuela and Family Protection @familyprotection, worldwide.

These projects have shown that @adollaraday is spreading love by the act of giving to children, aged, less-privileged, disadvantaged members of the society, the displaced, animals, families, church and even the environment. This shows that love is spread all over the Steemit Blockchain which will encourage more people to be a part of the platform especially now that investors are needed.

In summary:

• 15 different projects in 9 different countries have benefitted from @adollaraday.

• Total donation since the inception of the project stands at US$ 3000.

• 76 Steemians have donated to the project since June.

• 12 people have delegated to the account.

• 8 number of witness supporters.

• 7,387 Delegated SP.

Conclusion
