My ancestors the Guarani were characterized by being very good farmers of the land, they cultivated all their food among them Maize.

My passion for agriculture began as an 8-year-old boy. At that time I lived in a rural area of large land. My father and my grandparents were country people, they knew very well the processes of original planting.

The work of agriculture was to prepare the land for planting, we planted corn, manioc, squash, tomatoes, peppers, different vegetables and vegetables, today I want to share with you all the manual process that we carried out with my grandmother and my mother in planting corn. This procedure is called an organic procedure because no fertilizer or pesticide is used. Only hangover or cow dung.

The work to plant the corn is very simple, it has four fundamental steps, to clean the earth, to remove the earth, to fertilize the earth and to plant, it is fundamental the preparation of the land for the success of the harvest.

It begins by cleaning the surface very well, in this procedure removes all the yuyo or the grass with a hoe of hand, as we see in the image

Once the land has been cleaned, the whole weed must be raked and removed, the weed removed, the soil must be removed, a depth of 30 centimeters or the top of a spade must be removed. Soft and can develop without problem the corn plant

The next job is to fertilize the soil, fertilizer is mixed with the soil, here we use cow dung and hangover, the hangover is achieved in the forest, the leaves and sticks that fall to the ground are disseminated and Are mixed with the earth, this mixture of sticks, grasses and black soil is what we call hangover, others use garbage previously buried and scattered in the earth, once fertilized the surface, we have to rake the soil to leave the surface Smooth, as we see in the image.

If the soil is this pair, yarns are pulled to plant as straight as possible, between each plot there must be a space of 50 to 70 centimeters so that you can walk and not step on the plant, this is fundamental for the maintenance of Plants, as we can see in the image.

The corn plant grows very fast, needs a lot of sun and water, begins to plant from the month of September until January and is harvested from March to August.
According to grandmother's traditions, in a home plantation, 20 maize plants should be calculated for each family member, each plant can yield two ears of corn.

The corn is a plant that is prolific of the own grain of the ear, once prepared the files we are in conditions to plant, with the roast of hand are made furrows where we will be throwing the seed of the corn, we must leave a few spaces of 15 Centimeters between each plant, you can place two or three grains to ensure the success of the plant, as we can observe in the video.

Your more than welcome :)

Wow! I never knew so many ways to eat maize, I love it roasted but I would like to try all these other ways.

There are many more ways to consume corn, it is a very important food in America.
Thank you very much dear friend @linzo for the support of my work

So many uses for corn. I've never tried cornbread- but I think it's something I would like to .

If it is very tasty, I usually knead in my house, it is ideal to share with sausages, such as bondiola or jamoncocido.
Thank you very much lady @opheliafu for visiting and commenting my post

I make my own bread, so it's something I can try too.

If you have to try is very easy, there are many recipes on the internet, with flour or flour, as you like

If it's done right, it is so delicious. Sometimes people make it too dry, actually it's a little harder to get it moist, but when you do, hot out of the oven with a little butter, mmm, I think I will make some tomorrow!

Everything is in the preparation, if you make smoothie leaves spongy, but if you knead it as bread comes harder and a little dry

Everything you posted looks so delicious!!! I am definitely going to make some of these, especially now that most of my family is no longer eating meat! Thank you so much for sharing my great friend @jlufer!

Thank you very much dear friend @dreemit for the support and the company
