Its a new month and with it comes a whole host of new games for us to look forward too.

Now that we are drawing close to the end of the year, we are starting to see better and bigger games being released that are not only always pushing the limits of graphical technology but can also entertain us and keep us engaged for endless hours of play time. Now in September, there is a whole host of games to look forward too, and as usual, I have picked out 5 of the best games that I think will be the ones to look out for.

So here are 5 games for September you need to play.

5 – V-Rally 4.

Sept 7th for console, Sept 25th for PC.
PS4, Xbox One and PC.

  • Those of you who remember the PS1 era of gaming, V-Rally was one of the more iconic racing games to appear on the now legendary console. But in America, it was released as 'Need for Speed, V-Rally' because rally games were not as big in the states back then. After the 3rd instalment of the game failed to live up to expectation when taking on the mighty 'Colin McRae' rally games, it was shelved without hope of ever having another sequel in the franchise made.
But that is all to change now as the 4th game has finally been made and it looks spectacular. As you would might imagine, instead of making the game look like a retro instalment with modern graphics. It instead takes on a very real and modern look with fantastic looking models and just as good environment for you to race through.
Although the trailer doesn't give too much away. It looks as though it could be a real contender when it comes to race simulation games. And with the popularity and 'traction' (pun intended) racing games such as this have gained in the past few years, there is no reason I can see yet why this game won't succeed. I am just hopeful that they have kept that nostalgia that the original late 90's V-Rally games gave us back in the day.

4 – Life is Strange 2, Episode 1.

September 27th.
PS4, Xbox One and PC.

  • The first entry into this franchise was indeed strange, especially when it featured narratives about time travel, an unexplained apocalypse, gut wrenching choices and survival, all while mixed with the experience of being a kid again and delving into friendships.
The original artistic look of the first game was somewhere between a telltale game and GTAV in that it is stylized enough to separate it enough from reality, but with a touch of humanity in there. And in this game, they look as though they have improved that stylized theme while remaining as real as possible.
The second game is based around 2 brothers who have an encounter with a cop, and for some supernatural reason, the cop is either killed or disappears and so begins the adventures of the 2 brothers.
As a story driven game, the narratives foundation is very solid, and I for one, can not wait too get my hands on this game when it finally drops.

3 – Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age.

September 4th.
PS4 and PC.

  • Yes it is another Dragon Quest game, but somehow, with each new addition to this expanding universe, the devs somehow keep out doing themselves and putting out content that is not only enjoyable to play, but is engaging enough to keep you playing for hours and hours as we saw in Dragon Quest X in 2012's MMORPG. Released in Japan in July for the 3DS and PS4, it is now time for the rest of the world to enjoy the game.
Now that Square Enix have had 6 + years to develop this one, you can clearly see from the trailer and some Japanese gameplay streams, that they have substantially improved upon the visuals, giving us a more vibrant colour pallet combined with some impressive mechanics and animations. The game kind a looks like a cross between Zelda Breath of the wild but with characters straight out of your favourite anime, and as bizarre as that sounds, it actually looks pretty fucking awesome.
With this whole new open world that you can get to explore, it is packed full of all manor of characters and creatures of all sizes, including some monsters that you get to interact with and/or fight.
While it does contain some traditional RPG elements, I think that it sets itself apart enough that it has helped to progress the RPG genre from the hole it has been stuck in for the last decade.
If you are unsure about this game, check out some of the Japanese gameplay footage that is floating around several streaming sites and YouTube to see if the game will interest you.

2 – SpiderMan.

September 7th.
PS4 Only

  • It has been hyped, debated on countless forums and other media outlets, in game footage and trailers have been inspected frame by frame and is quite possibly one of the most talked about games since E3 2018. and there are 2 very good reasons why this is. 1 – Sony are very good at marketing PS4 Exclusives, and 2 – more importantly, the in game footage is prenominally good. And I mean really fucking good.
When compared to previous Spiderman games, there is not a whole lot you can say about this game that you can not get from the in game footage or trailers. For fans of Spiderman, this could be considered the perfect game for the web slinger. The visuals are great, the animations are slick, the mechanics are unbelievable, now all we need is for it to land so we can all get our hands on it.
It has been some time since we got a decent Spiderman game, hopefully that wait has paid off. Lets just hope that something stupid like poor voice acting or huge glitches/bugs doesn't destroy its reputation as we have seen with past games.

1 – Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

September 14th.
PS4, Xbox One and PC.

  • 2013s Tomb Raider was an epic single player, story driven monster that took on an all new look and reinvigorated the franchise by removing itself from its predecessors by giving us all new visuals, an all new story and an all new Lara. 2015s Rise of the Tomb Raider took everything that made the 2013 one as good as it did and improved on it massively. Now on the eve of the 3rd instalment of the rebooted franchise, its not hard to see from the trailers and in game footage that Eidos and Square Enix have done it again, taking everything that made the last two games as good as they were and just made it much better again.
The visuals in terms of graphics does not differ all that much from the 2015 game, but with obvious improvements in character models/textures, environment and under water. The main improvements comes in Lara having a wider skill set to help her along her journey such as hiding in vines, better combat skills, and stealth aspects too. This wider array of skills will ultimately allow you to play the game how you want to play it. So if you want to go in guns blazing you can, you want to shoot with a bow from a tree, you can, and if you just want to strangle everyone to death, you can. With it being a story driven game, having the ability to play the game how you see fit is by far one of the bigger selling points on a game with no multiplayer as it can appeal to a wider audience.
The reboot of the franchise is among one of the better franchise reboots in recent history, and as the past 2 games have proved, it is working very well. As a fan of story driven games and stealth games, I will be among the first people on the 14th to get there hands on this title, as I have been looking forward too it since I completed the last game in 2015.

Aside from all the adventure, puzzle, RPG, FPS and racing games being released this month, there are also a fair few sports games being released too. Now I am not a fan of sports games (unless its NBA jam) as I have zero respect for the ''athletes'' who are paid millions to stand in a field playing with there balls, and this is the main reason why non of my lists feature them. Regardless though, because there are several being released, I will give them a mention for those of you among us who do like to play with there own balls.

NBA 2K19, NHL 19, Fifa 19.

I'm sure the games play good and look good, but because these idiots are paid so much money for jerking off in a field, with most of them being self serving arseholes and others ending up as criminals, I just don't give a shit about glorified sports. Maybe if there was a soapbox racing game, then I would be interested.

Which game are you most looking forward too this month?

For someone who has a lot of money September is a great month indeed (not for their poor wallets.) I'm already interested in three games of this list since their announcement day but not into the other games so much.

  • Dragon Quest XI
  • Life is Strange 2
  • Spiderman (PS4)

I wrote about DQXI since I heard about it! I like how LiS2 won't be a direct sequel to the first one. But I still haven't got the prequel yet so I wanna do that first!

I'm working hard to get a PS4 before of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III, but I feel like I'm failing. It'll be great If I could get the Spiderman PS4 because its one of the games I'd like to buy if I ever got my own PS4. I have a relative who's playing on PS4 everyday so I struggle to not be envious.

Anyway, part of my hardworking is something I'd like a help with, is improving my own Steam/Steem shop. I started contest for suggestions on the matter, if you read the rules and give a suggestion you might win prizes. I want Steem to go to the moon, word of mouth is a strong weapon and I want to have a shop that rivals and beats STEEM gaming platforms like @steemGG and @dGameShop.

Loved Your Description Of The Games!!
