🎮 Game Rooms! 🎮

What's in yours?

Welcome to another Retro Gaming Blog from @ma1neevent!

Today, I would like to discuss Game Rooms...

Do you have one? What do you keep in it?

I am curious to find out what kind of Video Game Systems people on Steemit collect for!

Personally, I only recently began to put together my own game room. It's something I have wanted to do for years... but either didn't have the money or space. I only have an apartment, so I am doubling a spare bedroom as a Game Room also.

Thankfully, I have been picking up Retro Video games and system from various people over the last 6 months. I have searched through thrift stores, pawn shops, online selling forums, garage sales, and more to find lots of amazing deals...

Luckily, I have been able to amass a pretty impressive console collection thus far without over spending. I got many deals on systems that were beat up or missing parts, but after some TLC, they are playing great!

CURRENT GAMING SYSTEMS I OWN and also PLAY:

Nintendo NES
Super Nintendo
Nintendo 64
Nintendo Gamecube
Sega Genesis
Sega CD
Sega Dreamcast
Sony Playstation 1
Sony Playstation 2
Xbox One

I also have a couple of handhelds, a Game Boy Pocket, Sony PSP, and a Sega Nomad!

I do love playing old retro games the most though...

I am not really a fan of emulators or the "classic" consoles that are coming out...

I am old school original.

Lately I have been really into the old Light Gun games on the PS1 and PS2, using my old CRT TV. Such a blast from the past! You can't do that anymore with modern TV's!

I also started playing Marvel VS. Capcom 2 often on my Sega Dreamcast. I have almost all of the characters unlocked!

Another big favorite I have been playing lately is Splatterhouse 3 for the Sega Genesis... a pretty difficult game.

What Game Systems are in your game room?

What games are you into at the moment?

I don't have a game room, but I still have my Old Playstation 1 and some of its games,

When I played the PS2 we played it on my cousins device (we were so close back then), They sold their gaming device when they stopped gaming (they still play on PC but no more than 3 hours on some weeks, much less than me).

Now, I'm mainly a PC player though. there's a unique flavor in Retro Games and Retro-Style new games so I'm collecting those on Steam these days (that, and because my PC doesn't run recent games with good frame rate even on lowest setting).

Currently playing Disgaea which is taking me longer than I though to finish!!

Yeah I assume that is what most people do with the Steam, I haven't used that service yet but it seems really cool. I try to stick the the actual hardware ;-)

I dont' really have a game room but I do have a NES, Super Nintendo, PS2, and PS3. I've also got a lot of old PC games. My favorite games are point and click games like Sam and Max, Monkey Island, and Maniac Mansion.

Telltale's Sam and Max? is it any good?.... I got the game on HumbleBundle but don't like the Art-style so I'm hesitating about of using it myself or trading it depending on the story/gameplay only... since it's one of your favorite can you tell me what you like about it?

I started writing a comment and it got really long. lol. I decided just to turn it into a a review. Sam and Max was one of my favorite games growing up and I've played it many times over the years. I recommend it if you like point and click games. It's one of the more comedic colorful ones. My review: https://steemit.com/videogames/@marxrab/taletale-games-sam-and-max-hit-the-road-review

Thanks for writing the Article for me, Definitely Gonna Check it Out!!

My opinion on Point & Click Games for me depends on their actual content.

sorry for late reply.

thats awesome, I haven't ever played a PS3 or 4. I haven't played those games, i will have to look into them! Thanks for the comment @marxrab!
