Zombie Adventure - Game 14 - Day 8 (Feb. 3, 2018)

It dawned on me that I have more ranged weapons in the card deck than melee weapons. There are 3 of each type of weapon, but there are just the bat and axe for melee, whereas there are the x-bow, pistol, rifle and CZ-550 ranged weapons. That means there are twice as many ranged as melee weapons. It had been fine for smaller teams, but now with so many players, it shows up as a deficit of melee weapons.

Objective: Find a cooking pot (X on the map) and bring it to the kitchen. Find rice and water and bring those to the kitchen so that a meal can be prepared and eaten by all team members. In other words, all members of the team must reach the kitchen AFTER the meal has been made. To be clear: The pot, rice and water are picked up as items (cost is 1 action). These items are then deposited in the kitchen as actions (like a trade). Once ALL items required (rice, water and pot) are present in the kitchen, one player will use an action to MAKE the meal. At that point, all players need to visit the kitchen and use a final action to eat the meal. We could end the game when everyone ate or wait until everyone gets off the board. If any player dies, the game is lost and the zombies win!

Player 1: Ok, I want to chop down the door... but I am not sure I should yet? Any thoughts on this, guys?

Player 4 is on my square but has only a bat.

Should I shoot the walker north first, and then chop down the door? Or just shoot the walker and not chop down the door.. I get the feeling we're not well positioned yet if a ton of zombies are behind the door.. I do have a molotov I could throw in right after chopping down the door to insta-kill whatever is inside.

In any case, my first action will be to shoot the walker to the north.
Let's see if I hit first. If I miss, I won't be chopping down the door anyway yet, but instead fire again at it

There will NEVER be a ton of zombies behind a newly-opened door UNLESS you are inside a building and the zombies are outside trying to get IN. They can congregate on the other side of closed doors, but for newly-opened buildings, there is just ONE dice roll per room, so a maximum of one zombie per room.

Alright good to know.

But first I will still shoot at the walker north of me until it's dead!

I think, you should chop it down first.

You got allies with you to provide backup :)

Take the torch from @blender69-ben and search the car again.
And Do just like I always do when I search !

Unfortunately, we cannot just TAKE items from another player. They need to agree to GIVE the item. So, we are stuck until that time. Hopefully you find your own torch!

I need weapon so that I can protect my team.

You HAVE 2 weapons, but why not try for something better? Or to give to another player?

  1. Search the bus. Roll 1 = fail. Roll 4 to find a Walker.
  2. Use the axe to attack the found Walker. Roll 6 = success. The Walker has been chopped down.

  2. Search the bus. Roll 5 to find a torch. OK, not bad. Now each of your searches finds 2 items instead of one!
  3. Only ONE search allowed per turn. So skip this action. We need to find another axe to break open the door to the pot.
  1. Introduce Walker to my west with it's wife/husband, Mr/Ms.Hole-in-chest ;)

  2. hmmm... not much to do if the Walker's dead, but if it isn't shoot it till it is.

  3. if any actions left, take a nap in the middle of the street, using ma gun as a pillow. (unless the yellow car to the North is within range ? I don't think it is, but if it is... you know what I want to do ;) )

Player 9 killed the Walker in the spawn zone, so...

@happyme - that totally makes sense with the melee weapons... and I had assumed as much since there's only 2 door-smashing axes found so far. It's good though, it allows for greater team-work... and each game gets more fine-tuned than the last.
