You Want a Space Exploration Game? Try GTA V, With This New (Upcoming) Mod

You know that there's a frozen alien body under the bridge in GTA V's prologue, yes? If you wonder how it end up there and where that alien came from, soon you will have your answer. A team of ten modders led by sollaholla is working on something big for your beloved GTA V. Grand Theft Space, the upcoming mod that will let you go to space.
Synopsis
The earth has been alone in this galaxy since the very moment it was formed, but far far away in another galaxy, there was intelligent life peering at the people of earth for a millennium. This life was not the friendly life we would like to believe. The NASA research team have found remnants of alien spaceship parts scattered around the state of San Andreas. We never thought that these intelligent life-forms would ever reach our planet; but they're coming and they're not on our side. It's your mission to take out these alien scum before they reach earth.
The synopsis is interesting, it's sounds a bit like.. Transformer, maybe? Telling about the first time humans find out that there are another life form, aliens. Except the aliens in here are not some expensive sport cars.
The trailer may not seems like much, but for a work in progress project it looks awesome. The modder knew about the other space stuff mods like the Millennium Falcon mod, the problem is none of them seems to be satisfy the need to actually go to the outer space. And then the modder decided to make one as sollaholla said in the forum "Screw it, I'm gonna make a space mod." that's the spirit! One of the programmer AHK1221 also said that the mod started from sollaholla and AHK1221 talking about Interstellar.
You can explore new planets outside of the solar system, but this won't be an empty space experience where you can do nothing but flying around in space, it's aim to provide 4 missions at launch. And not only exploring by flying around the planets, you can also land on them too, exploring the planets that feature variable gravity and space vehicles. Remember what I said about frozen alien body in the prologue? As you can see in the trailer, you can meet them somewhere and fight against those aliens and hostiles with that cool railgun pistol that probably included in the mod.
After your space battle against the aliens and their UFO is done, there are plenty of collectibles accross the map waiting to be found that will grant you rewards. This is one of sollaholla's latest update video-increased distance between the earth and the moon, also the other planets.
About the progress, There is no further information about when will this mod be released yet, but the team said that it will be released when they think the mod is ready. That sounds very wise. But sollaholla said in the forum "We work on this mod very frequently! Development is very speedy considering all the details." with a growing list of contributors. The mod credit goes to the modder team; AHK1221, Pantyshot, TheMadBreaker, KAFAROS, Spud, JRod, SkylineGTRFreak, Shaezbreizh, Unknown-Modder, nkjellman, and sollaholla.

Damn...reminds me of that one very ambitious mod someone made that put GTA San Andreas in GTA IV, except this looks even bigger. Sure would love to try it once I have both the game and a computer that can run it.
Since you mention GTA San Andreas, I wonder if someone created CJ mod in GTA V. Or the whole Grove Street member from GTA San Andreas (Big Smoke, Ryder, etc) That would be awesome
Well, I don't know it for a fact, but I do believe there is a mod that puts the whole Grove Street part of Ganton, Los Santos in 'retro' mode, where you have gangs in purple against people in green, like a homage to the Ballas and Grove Street gangs. That said, I didn't pay too much attention to it at the time since I was in a rush, and all I have in memory is a picture of what that looked like, so I could be way off. And seeing as there's a lot of (plausible?) fan theories about Franklin being CJ's son, maybe someone hasn't yet made that mod, seeing as they feel they might have 'CJ's blood' in one of the game's existing characters already. Still, worth a look.
The only reason I'd want to see those guys come back is to watch them all ride to a Cluckin' Bell again and watch them stare in awe at the way Smoke orders food, and how much of it :P

Looks pretty damn good.
And the screenshot of him punching a Ballas gang member actually looks a bit like the expressions of Niko Bellic were lifted off GTA IV and slapped onto a HD model of Carl's face.
I have forgotten about that fan theory and now I remember it.
And that "I'll have two number 9s.. A number 9 large..." is one of many GTA San Andreas memorable stuff that will go down in gaming history hahaha.
That CJ mod looks pretty good, but his face look like he is worrying about something so bad lmao
Yeah, well...all veteran San Andreas players were just looking for the chance to come up with something of the sort when it was announced that GTA V would be set in Los Santos. I know I was too.
And yes, that particular mission told us exactly what puts the 'Big' in 'Big Smoke'.
As for the CJ mod, I think he's just afraid Denise might see him and recognize him lol.
GTA in general create many crazy mods to amuse people I like that because it makes the game stop being repetitive.
One of the craziest mod to cause chaos that I know is the mod that let you shoot cars rapidly. It doesn't makes sense, but that's the point haha

I use that mod hahahaha, a total chaos generates. But being more realistic I preferred the mod that added 105 real cars to the game, I loved that mod.
That sounds fun. Like a blown up version of the Genki Manapult from Saints Row The Third, except with cars instead of peds.
I also loved the Armageddon mod for GTA IV. Was a lotta fun when I played it on a friend's PC.
