Battlefield V is another entry in a series of best-selling first-person shooter games developed by DICE, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts. The game takes place during World War II, and it returns to the roots of the series.

Single player campaign
In the single-player story campaign, players are not limited to one main character. As in the previous release, the developers present several separate storylines as part of the “History of War”. One of the main characters is a woman who belongs to the German resistance and fights against the Nazis.

Cooperative mode
The biggest novelty in Battlefield V - Combined Arms - cooperation mode for four players who take on the role of paratroopers working outside the enemy lines. The action takes place on procedurally generated maps.

Multiplayer mode
In Battlefield V, of course, there is a multiplayer module with different game mode modes, and Grand Operations - a central one. The mode shows battles divided into several stages, during which players must perform various tasks on dynamically changing maps. Four classes are available: medic, scout, support and soldier, and they all perform different tasks on the battlefield. Players participate in battles in Africa, Rotterdam, France, etc.
Compared to the previous games in the series, the multiplayer game in Battlefield V has some changes. Fortresses are one of the biggest novelties - they allow players to build defenses and place heavy machine guns. In addition to this, the health bar was divided into several segments - life is restored only within the segment. Healing a fallen companion takes longer than usual, but every member of the party can relate to him — the medic is not the only class that can do this.

Mechanics
Another important addition is the setting - the appearance and equipment of the characters can be changed using the Companion system. Players can determine gender, face, face paint, clothing, accessories, skins and accessories for weapons.

The improved movement system allows players to throw a dive in different directions during skirmishes and, for example, continue to shoot while lying on their backs. Each weapon now has a different recoil model. The developers modified the amount of ammunition (the base number was enough only for a few skirmishes, but the cards contained chests with reserves) and grenades (their number was limited, but they could be thrown back by opponents or destroy a well-aimed shot).

Technical aspects
Battlefield V is powered by Frostbite, the same engine that was used in previous entries in the series. It provides high-quality three-dimensional graphics. The textures are detailed, the lighting is realistic, and the destruction of the environment is even greater than before. The sound, including the realistic sounds of the battlefield, is also of high quality.

Extensions and microtransactions
Unlike previous entries in the series, Battlefield V does not contain paid add-ons or a premium pass. All extensions are free.

The game has microtransactions. Players can buy cosmetic items to personalize the character. There are no paid bonuses in the game that will give players an edge on the battlefield.
